As everyone ran into the nearby forest, I hear Mark tell me to continue trying to get contact with rescue services.
"I don't know where we are Mark," I tell him.
"Sunflower Forest," he replies. "About 3 miles north from the Sunflower Settlement." I watch as he leaves to help the survivors head to the settlement as I stay to contact any rescue. It was nearly 6 am now as there was no longer any contact from anyone. I step outside the locomotive and see that I was the only one there.
"Where is that settlement?" I ask myself. "Wasn't it somewhere south?" I start to walk south using my compass trying to find that settlement. It took me nearly 10 minutes until I heard some voices.
"-should return soon," a familiar voice says.
"Is he going to be ok with staying there alone?" a different voice said.
"Should be. We might be back within 15 minutes," the familiar voice said. I walk in the direction of the voices trying to see who it was. At last I see two figures walking down the path nearby.
"Hello?" I yell.
"Why hello!" The familiar voice said. "Welcome back Josh."
I couldn't see who it was until we stood in front of each other.
"Hello Mark," I say.
"How come you aren't at the locomotive?" he asks.
"Communication cut out again." I say.
"Communication's out eh?" the other voice said.
"And who are you?" I ask.
"This is the owner of the settlement down south," Mark says.
"Is it just a house?" I ask.
"Why no, it's a whole village," the man replies. "Let's head back now, why don't we?" The three of us walk down the path for nearly 30 minutes until I see lights in the distance.
"This it?" I ask.
"Sure is," the man replies. "The others should be in the houses getting rest."
"Which one is ours?" I ask.
"That white one over there," he says as he points down to the house by the pond.
"Am I able to check on the others?" Mark asks.
"Sure thing," the man says. We both watch as Mark goes to open the doors to the houses.
"Hey where are they?" Mark says.
"What do you mean?" the man says as he walks up to the houses. "They should be-." He goes silent as he notices everyone is no longer in any of the houses.
"Where did they go?" He says. "Where?"
