Miscommunication: Chapter 8: An Explanation

We all go looking around the settlement in hunt of the other survivors.

"Josh go look down by our place and see if they are there," Mark says. "I will go with him to look through the rest of this village and the nearby forests." I head down to our cabin as the others go the other way. It started to get brighter out now when we started the look. As I look around the cabin I hear something in the woods.

"Someone there?" I shout. The leaves continue to move and then a figure ran out of the bushes.

"Phew, its just a deer," I say. I continue looking around trying to find clues of where the survivors are. I then decide to head back to the train which was a while away now. On my way there I start to get a strange odor in the air. What was it I wondered. I didn't know. Was it the train? The survivors? I eventually got to where the train was, I found out the whole area of the crash site was blocked off with warning signs all over.

"Seems like they arrived here didn't they?" a voice said.

"Holy!" I yell. "Don't scare me!"

"Sorry," the man said.

"Where's Mark?" I ask.

"Somewhere in the southern part of the forest looking for the survivors." He responded. "Why are you here anyways? Here at this site?"

"Our train was involved in a collision with a deadly train and we have no idea what the others carried either." I say.

"How come you all wrecked in my forest anyways?" He asks.

"At first it wasn't us. It was actually 1849 and 582 which collided. We came to help but then we got hit by a train that was behind us." I respond. "Let's search the area to see if they returned at all here."

"That seems like a wonderful idea" the man said. "A very wonderful idea."
