#MonstrusoLabratories #5

The Protective Core has been built. A reactor fueled with molten metal, it stands between you and the ARMATURA IGNIS.

Overload the reactor, destroy the facility, and retrieve the ARMATURA... if you can.

The physical build part has been done, but the contraptions still need finishing. The basic idea is that the conveyors are full of bullet casings, which are travelling to other areas of the ammunition manufacturing area of the facility. They are also infested with monster spawners so you better watch out

On the other side of the room is a hole which you can drop off casings to fuel the reactor. If the reactor reaches critical level, it will go on meltdown, deactivating the Protective Core in the centre and activating the Emergency exit, allowing you to leave the level

While travelling through the escape corridor, you'll hear lots of explosions in the background, and find yourself in a ruined version of the facility (it actually is just a edited replica, you're just tricked into thinking the escape corridor loops back into the previous room)

From there you'll only be able to return to Level U1 (as every other area in the facility has caved in from the meltdown)

And finally, you'll return to find the ARMATURA IGNIS, the glass shattered and the protective field gone. You'll finally don the armour, fly through the armor, and escape the underground part of the facility to reach... ACT II.

Can't wait to get on the next part, I have plenty of ideas on where the plot of this campaign will lead off to next, but first I'll need to make the whole "filling the tank with casings" part, since I intend to add a mechanic where the tank slowly lowers in level as the fuel is used up, so you'll have to be quick in grabbing as many casings as possible (also I'll need to do the claw machine mechanic for the Warehouse level which I've still not done yet)

Also in case anyone hasn't seen the previous posts, yes I'll release this campaign as a modpack on Curseforge when it is finished (so the map along with all the necessary mods and stuff) although it will take a long time before this is done, since this is way more complex than the Palace of Order (though at least I don't need to worry about exterior since you'll never see the facility from outside, it is supposed to be deep underground after all)

image.png

If you're wondering, the entire left area is where the introductory levels are, the building in the bottom of the central area is the Warehouse, the building above it is the ARMATURA IGNIS room, the large building to the right is the Protective Core room, and the ruined copy of the facility is directly behind the central area (it's smaller as the actual rooms for the Warehouse and Protective Core room don't exist, just caved in corridors)

image.png

A better view of the actual facility vs the ruined version you leave (note the matching elevator towers and escalators/corridors leading from the elevators)

Also the nether portals and lava are just for particle and sound effects, and the sea lanterns covering the building and ground below are to stop monsters spawning outside where they're supposed to (it has to be night-time to allow players to sleep at Safe rooms)

Anyway if you're curious, for the next part I plan for the player to end up in the main reception area for the facility, with the entrance boarded up and the staff turned to zombies, something inspired by Half-Life design-wise maybe...

So yep, that's all folks :)

The Dragon is done

I've dubbed him... THE THUNDERSHOCKER

(Yes this drawing was entirely done in PowerPoint, also yes I just got a 4k image of Earth because I didn't want to spend that long on painstakingly making a realistic Earth)

Pretty sweet stuff ;)

#MonstrusoLabratories #4

Been quite a while since I posted, been busy with Uni and took quite a break from CtB development and Minecraft, but getting back to making Monstruso Labratories

Getting started on a new section...

I've been spending some time grinding out parts for Corvettes in NMS, and finally I've built...

THE EAGLE

Its design is based off Stealth bombers, and I must say it is MASSIVE compared to my first Corvette, and way more huge compared to normal starships

Did more builds on minecraft of @gamejolt x Minecraft #Gamejolt #Minecraft #builds #screenshot

#GJAsks

As I'm pretty sure I've mentioned before, the first game I ever played was Gunball 2: Emperor's Revenge (a Flash Game), and was probably when I was about 5 or 6 years old

There's still time to post YOUR nail art and enter Opera GX's #GXNailArt contest! (Here's some of what your fellow Jolters have posted.)

Just got to the Centre of the Galaxy in Permadeath mode and got the achievement

(also found out doing this in Permadeath simultaneously gives you the achievement for doing the same on Survival mode, so that's a 2 in 1 deal)

Also here's some photos ;)

Today, I've 100%ed No Man's Sky's achievements

Surprising for me, since I don't consider myself a completionist, and this is my very first game to 100%, so I'm pretty happy.

Also I've built a nice base in Eissentam and "found" a beautiful Sentinel Ship :)

Playing around with Vibrant Visuals in Minecraft Bedrock

Have you had a chance to try the new directional lighting, volumetric fog, etc?

What do you think?

It has finally been done...
