Ive been working on Dusttale's finale for 2 or 3 weeks now, cleaning stuff up and reworking some things I didn't like in the original, the story has had some tuneups but has rather stayed the same, and this is what I wanna talk about.

I see comments all the time about Finale and how that part looks more like a "Joke Game" or something along those lines, and I wanna show off the story I'm making so far but don't wanna give anything away so players get to experience the story for their first playthrough, but I'm gonna shed some light on stuff so SPOILER FOR A SMALL PART OF FINALE AHEAD!!

DTIMU's finale is a very unique ending from most other Dusttale takes final encounters, and I did that on purpose. I see a lot of people make their final Dusttale encounters edgy reskin sans fights with little to no substance, in a vast sea of endless sans fights and clones, I strive to make something original with this fangame. In finale, sans is the only other monster left, and that subsequently takes a toll on his perception of life and his mind in general.

I don't like how Dusttale games potray his insanity as his eye twitching and laughing and being edgy. Because that's not a real way someone would react to such a strain that sans endures. In DTIMU, he breaks down in a more realistic way, he goes through a Identity crisis while also succumbing to derealization. He wears Asgore's old robes and don's a similar trident to Asgore because he thinks he's the new king of the underground, there is nobody else to lead, just him, he becomes king in his own fucked up way.

And in battle you'll get to see his process as he talks with you, explaining his messed up reasoning while you get to watch his already terrible mental state deteriorate even more as you progress through the fight. And don't think im doing this for the sake of just having a design change, he uses his new equipment in his battles and goes through actual progression. I cant really give any other details without spoiling the best part of the game in my eyes so far. To recap, this is not a joke game, this isn't a serious game either, its my game, ill make it how I want, I dictate all the story and have everything written by myself.
