More spells mean more challenges

In previous devlog, I've shown a new spell and it's called Light Beam. It pierces through obstacles and barriers allowing it to hit enemies and buttons behind the former

I rather use this video to show how that works:

The video also shows other things:

1. Moving platforms. I've decided to add this to make tall levels more interesting and have less platforms to jump on

2. New enemies. One flies in certain direction while the other flies in random direction

3. Shooting box. Destructible obstacle which can shoot

4. Wind Blade now flies like a boomerang

5. Magic shield. Absorbs shots

Last but not least, with addition of new spells, I updated scripts to allow player to scroll available spells to left or right

While I'm here, I also mention that 3rd and 4th bosses have been completed and same goes with areas they are in. Roughly all levels are complete

However, I still have more level ideas in mind including secret levels

I won't show all new enemies and bosses, I'll let players meet them themselves

I'm resuming progress on this game. This time I'm working on level select. Here are some shots from the level select:

Shin Megami Tensei series have the best lore for me.

This game is a short metroidvania about a robot having the ability to cast magic spells. He needs to escape this base but he needs to collect spells to open paths to the exit. Can he escape?

I got some ideas and implemented them here.

For #BatNIght, I choose Crobat from Pokemon. I raised this bat from Zubat to Golbat then Crobat so I could give FLY skill to him.

Based on feedbacks, I reduced darkness of level select decorations making them look brighter and clearer. I also decided to create alternate level palettes for completed and incomplete state each. Here are some shots from the level select:

I don't have memory of the game yet but I remember making this art.
