February has been racing by and I’ve been doing my best to keep up. I didn’t realize that I would need more than a week’s worth of work to implement a crafting system, but here we are - it’s Friday and the crafting menu still isn’t finished.
I’ve gotten a lot of work done though: the menus are functional and a lot of the back end programming and calculations are done. But there are still a lot of things that need polished (and bugs that need squashed).
I don’t want to reveal too much of the crafting system before the next pre-alpha update is released, but here’s a screenshot of the main crafting menu:
Not everything in this screenshot is final, but it still gives a good idea of what the finished menu will look like.
I hope you’re looking forward to the upcoming pre-alpha demo update! I can’t wait to get it out and see what you think about the crafting system. Given the amount of time it’s taking me to work on the crafting system I doubt I’ll be able to get the demo update ready before the end of February, but I’ll do my best to keep the wait as short as possible.
