heyo hi guys, howzigoing? So, I've been a bit busy with the start of school. Has this affected my performance and progress in the game? Not that much, at least not as much as one would normally expect. As some of you know, today is the day for a progress update, and believe me, there's some pretty remarkable and noteworthy news, but let's take it one step at a time :D (Ignore the image, it's just a silly joke I came up with while watching Star Wars movie recaps.)

Writing:

As I said last time, I tend to write dialogues and scripts when almost all the assets are finished, but I decided to use my brain in my free time, and I have been able to put together all the lines of dialogue that will be used in the overworld section, even so, they are a bit far from being the final result, since I will still need extra help from some friends to improve the quality of these, here is a fragment of one of those dialogues:

Anyway, and as I have repeated in previous posts, the basic idea of ​​the whole story is complete, it just needs to be filled with details.

I also already have an idea of ​​what the Overworld section will be like, its length and zones, don't expect too much, after all it's still just a short preparation section. (I don't want to get ahead with the info, but the remastered overworld track will definitely make you want to stay longer :P)

Sprites:

There isn't much progress in terms of new sprites, but I'm convinced that at least 90% of the sprites that will be used in battle are already done, so my priority should be the overworld section. I know I said the same thing last time, but it doesn't hurt to remember it.

Music:

Oh boy, here's the main course. Remember how I normally produced the game's music? And how it usually sounded terrible because I was in such a rush? Well, that changes now, since the game has a new musician as part of the development team. Let me introduce you to @whenthewhenthe aka Sabi. He's been excellent with his work (ABSOLUTE CINEMA 🔥). He's collaborated on other projects like UT: Masked Bravery, and now he'll be composing some of the themes for the game (he'll see what he can do :D).

Programming:

You already know the story, I haven't started the game yet and I'm doing tests and blah blah... but believe me they are quite important, besides, Test 2 is already finished, focused mainly on the functionality of the attacks (the decoration and awesome stuff will be later added in the game itself, just wanted to check how the attacks work) after this, I would need to do Test 3, that is, the last one, it will be lighter than the previous two since it will only be a Game Over engine, and after that? The real action will begin >:D

I decided to make a new thumbnail for the game, inspired by the one in Nik's Dustbelief (after all, this fangame is also inspired by one of the encounters in that same fangame).
