i thought i might post something intresting and tell you my opinion on what the best weapon in cuphead is. unfortunately, i do not have the dlc, so crackshot, twist-up and converge will not be ranked. this is coming from a guy who recently 200% the game. here we go.

6 - Chaser

I actually used to think this weapon was broken and op, until i learnt how to aim. Chaser is only good for new people, except it really isn't because a lot of bosses don't require aiming, making this effectively a worse peashooter. The only reason why people use it is because it gives them an excuse not to aim. Also, when people say stuff like 'you got clutched from chaser' or something, and then people logically respond with 'then how is it bad?' then my response would be that it wouldn't be a clutch anyways if they didn't use chaser.

5 - Peashooter

Ah yes, the standard weapon. It's nothing more then a standard, long-range, average dps weapon. it's not a bad choice for any boss in the game, really. the only problem with this gun is that in almost every scenario, there are better options. Goopy le grande? spread. The Devil? Any other weapon except chaser. this heavily hinders it's capability of being a good weapon when there's always a better option for the job.

4 - Roundabout

This may sound controversial, but i don't like roundabout. i've tried using this thing to get some use out of it, but like i said about versatility, there's nothing stopping you from just switching weapons. It's probably because i'm bad at using this thing. it's probably because it's my least used weapon, so i don't know if this is still good or not. i just don't get use of it very much. I don't know where to put this thing, so take everything i say about this weapon with a grain of salt.

3 - Lobber

People say that lobber sucks after the patch, and i kinda agree. i've only played since post-patch, so i don't know how good the combo was, but lobber is not that bad as people say it is. Lobber, simply, is a peashooter that decreases range for more damage, which is better in alot of cases. Lobber is, in my opinion, one of the more better weapons, and is a solid option.

2 - Spread

Finally, an actual weapon i use on a regular basis! People say that Spread is solid but not the best, more around A+. i'd say this is one of the best weapons in the game. it's a short ranged peashooter, and has much more damage when at the right spot. For most bosses, it's not hard to get up close and just use whatever weapon, and that is where spread is best at. It might be because i like shotguns in games, but Spread with decent ease of use and great damage makes it my secondary slot 99% of the time.

1 - Charge

So, you know how i said that versatility is a bit pointless in cuphead? This is an exception. I might be with the overrated, but charge is, in my opinion, the best weapon in the game and it's not even close. Charge, if done correctly, can do massive damage aganst a single target, which 95% of the time, you're hitting a single target (the boss). combine that with long range, and you've got basically a god mode peashooter. The only semi-problem is that it's not good against hordes, but you can just spam uncharged or switch weapons. Once i figured the monster charge is, i've practiced it and it almost never left my side. It might be because i practiced this weapon, and it might be weird considering how low i put roundabout, but in every boss in the game, charge is always one of, if not the best option. Charge. Is. Overpowered.
