Happy Halloween! I'm bad at making holiday exclusive stuff, so I decided to finish this post I was writing. I swear I will go through my NBDs eventually.
Five Nights at Treasure Island: Suit Storage
This is the first one I did. Jake quit working for the SSA and left Treasure Island to work as a security guard in a usual storage facility. Suddenly, on his first day, the lights go out, all his co-workers disappear and the entrance gets locked without a way to open it. Turns out the suits all the way from Treasure Island have escaped and broke into the facility to get their revenge on Jake. Revenge for what? idk, stepping into their territory, I guess, this wasn't made with accuracy in mind at all. You can also tell that with how Blackout himself got mad at me for using suits instead of toons. Out of my fight or flight reflexes I renamed it to Toon Storage, but then I realized this is a sequel to 1.0, not 3.0 or 4.0, so I ended up keeping Suit Storage later.
The office and some of the Broken suits were made. I first made the office in Minecraft, then made it in Blender with the skills I had later. Though the wall on the left bothered me. You see, I sometimes want to make sure the scrolling is useful too, as there are games where it's pointless, yet have it anyway, such as Insanity, which has only one door. So I added a glass door, cause I thought that would be cool. Plus it would make it look more like an office. Although actually, it's supposed to be a window first, to give you time to prepare for PNM's arrival. Didn't like how it looks like though.
The mechanics were a TRTF 5-escue flashlight that you can toggle on and off and cameras, with no function at all besides switching cameras. Except they had limited and quickly draining power. That's right, this was an Insanity ripoff. I don't remember why I decided to rip that game off though.
The TRTF 5-escue flashlight was just for the cools. Shining it on enemies wouldn't do anything what so ever.
You would have to turn it off to get rid of PNM. I didn't initially have limitations in mind, but then I realized the player could just have the flashlight off through the entire game (not really lol) so I added PNMinnie as her stereotypical "mysterious = ghostly" type who would fade in and eventually kill you if you had the flashlight off for too long. She was the only enemy that was coded, however.
Turning on the camera monitor would be for Oswald and some others. It would work exactly the same as in Insanity. You pick it up, wait for them to leave, and if you have it on for too long it will run out of power.
I think MickMick was actually gonna be one that you have to watch on the cameras, as "the biggest enemy" type of deal.
I never planned the ending, but I think it would just be the police breaking the place open and getting Jake out, but then again, it could also just be the storage facility magically coming back to its natural state. I never really liked dark/bad endings at the time, it felt like there was no reason for the main character to go through such a journey. I now know that what really matters is the journey, however, not the result.
Nightmare After Disney
This is not actually a sequel, more like a spinoff that pretends to be a sequel. Fun fact, Subwoofer herself tried to stop me from making this. (it's okay we're friends now ) I never listened to anyone besides my mom or teacher at the time though, so I still tried to make it. Hell, I was even gonna ignore the policy that Blackout made back in 2017 to prevent confusion on which game is the real FNaTI. What was he gonna do, spam report my page? Threaten Cros? Doubt that.
Buckle up, this is the dumbest one out of all of these. This is the actual story of the game:
You play as a little girl who was always creeped out by Mickey Mouse to the point where she wished Disney didn't exist. The spirits of the suits from FNaTI get very mad invade her house in form of Terror suits. (Nightmares, basically)
Terror Face was gonna be the icon character for the game, as I thought it would just be cool to copy NBD and FNaF 3 and other games that change the icon character. He doesn't actually have any significance.
While the game only had the Terrors made, the game still had plans. The main menu would have the outside of the house, where Terror Face would be very slowly swinging on the swings, like a creepy little girl in a horror movie. (Terror Face is still a guy)
The game would take place in the girl's bedroom. You are in bed, and your mechanics are a flashlight (damnit of course) and something that not a single FNaF fan game never tried before, not even those that take place in a kid's house or a nightmare. Hiding. Under. The blanket. Wouldn't that be the first thing you did if you were a 5 year old kid and saw something big and scary in the middle of your room? Not "Get up from the bed to shine a light into the hallway and lock the door in risk of waking up your parents which still doesn't happen for some reason cause horror games make no sense and that's ok".
There were three entrances planned, a door on your left, a tv in the middle, a computer and a window on your right.
For some enemies, like Terror PNM, you would have to shine the light, but in case for Terror Face you would have to hide under the blanket... OH THERE WE GO THAT'S WHY HE'S IMPORTANT!
The TV in front of you is for Terror Suicide Mouse. If it turn on, you would have to THROW SOMETHING TO BREAK IT just kidding you turn it back off by clicking on it.
As for the computer, there are also Virus enemies that can come out of it, such as Undying! It was a laptop that would open and you have to close it. But also the viruses can scare you by opening and closing it rapidly in an unrealistic way, I guess.
The ending would be you did a truce with the Terrors to be friends with them and you're suddenly behaving good in Disneyland and no longer afraid of Mickey Mouse. Let's move on.
Five Nights at Treasure Island 3: The Shadows of The Past
A remake of the first FNaTI 2 by Malrat That combined elements of that game and The Revenge. The story was never really planned, but I think it would just be the same as in The Revenge. I think why it's called FNaTI 3 is obvious, by the way. Although I remember giving it an actual reason, don't know which one though. I don't think there would be any way to connect it to Suit Storage.
You had both the option to turn off the lights and brighten them. You also had a vent behind you that you have to shine the light into and... A door. Why? Because I thought the panel next to the door in the FNaTI 2 office looked like it was gonna have buttons. Oh and you can hide under the desk too. The cameras were gonna be in the game too, but I don't think I made any use for them.
There was also gonna be a Pirate Caverns-escue thing. There were stairs to that section right in the office hallway! So convenient.
The special thing about this game was that every character would have two jumpscare sounds. Although of course, that was an issue, because I lacked some of them like True Mickey's jumpscare sound and PNM's jumpscare sound in The Revenge that sounded like him laughing. I didn't know how to get those either.
I once wanted to put cutscenes in the game, but there was an issue. Clickteam would crash for me if I imported an animation that's longer than 25 frames. So of course, I decided to make the cutscenes fast as hell. Best idea ever.
I don't remember planning an ending.
D-Day Revival
You already know about D-Day Revival.
S_C_R_A_P_P_E_D_ / Disney: Broken Dreams
Lillian once told me I own D-Day and Scrapped as a joke. Of course, I took that seriously and began making a Scrapped revival.
The story wasn't planned, but the game took place in a storage area. As in multiple storage facilities.
I just happened to find the office blend of the game a while ago, by the way.
Menu
Office
Behind you
Keep in mind some textures are missing, more noticably for the doors. I don't really want to waste my time looking for all the textures just to put renders in here.
No, the lightswitch is not the main mechanic, but it did get rid of some hallucinations.
The main mechanic is actually playing sounds on the cameras, however, you can only do that in specific rooms and you had to select the volume of the sound that it would play. The louder the sound is, the more effective it is, but also the longer the siren will reboot.
As for the behind, characters would come up the stairs there. You would have to check by turning on the lights and then closing the door on them.
Every night, there would also be an animation of the player running up the stairs into the office. You would then be constantly greeted by the phone guy saying how late you are, like you're Peter Parker or something.
The suits were also gonna slowly open the door to tell you how close they are to killing you.
A while later I meet FreshDecimate, you may know him as the director of the Five Nights at Ronald's remake I'm supposed to code. Basically, he said "Hey, guy, listen. What if this wasn't a Scrapped remake? Trust me, this can work." So we renamed it to Disney: Broken Dreams and he made new models that look more like suits.
After sometime though I was even confused what this was supposed to be. I even considered making this a reboot of Suit Storage once.
Not much was done plan wise.
Unnamed planned FNaTI sequel
I once planned to make a sequel that would use Toxic-Negative Mickey, my old and probably favorite FNaTI OC.
The trick is each suit would have some sort of elemental look. (if you count acid as an element that is lol) For example, Oswald would be entirely shadeless black to reference darkness, and there would be another enemy that's literally made of magma. I would also make up reasons why they're like that, for example Toxic-Negative Mickey was frozen in a vat of toxic chemicals as the SSA's way of dealing with hostile entities. (The teeth and pipe claws stay unexplained)
I never fully used this concept.
Now these are sequels to my FNaTI remakes, specifically ABANDONED, 3.5 and 5.7. Yes, I was that full of myself. I still am. If I wasn't, I wouldn't be writing these devlogs.
ABANDONED 2
Disney is building another attraction, however unknown organisms were found there so the SSA was asked to look on the case.
The office and Monster Mickey's model were the only thing made for this game. The office had a vent on the left and two entrances on the front and right. Monster Mickey would be a nightmarish version of Mickey from the first game, he would have sharp teeth and his eye sockets would be loaded with eyes. Never thought that wouldn't make sense.
The main mechanic, as a replacement of shutting off cameras or camera flashes, were alarms. Each alarm has a battery that would recharge off of the generator. The alarm is in every room, including your office. You would have to hold space to keep them on. They're both a visual and an audio que so whatever sees instead of hearing can be lure towards them. The alarm in your office, however, is to actually scare away and enemy.
Aside from the alarms on the cameras there would also be sprinklers for those who can ignore the alarms, such as Oswald. You would have to find them on the cameras and use sprinklers on them before they rush into your office and instantly kill you. However, they drain the generator power a lot quicker, as water can damage exposed wiring and what-not.
The last mechanic... and a half, actually, is the generator that you have to bring down from the ceiling. If it runs out of power, the lights and cameras will go out, and you have to keep charging it until the end to turn everything back on. You would have to charge the generator by spinning the crank, something experimental I wanted to do. You would have to click and hold on the handle and keep spinning it. However, the crank can actually get stuck in one of the four locks around it, which is where the SCREWDRIVER comes in! You take it out from the bottom while the generator is brought down, then you stick it into the lock by clicking on it then move the mouse to yank the locks open. This mechanic would probably be pretty annoying.
Because the attraction meant to have animatronics, later in the game there would be withered animatronics appearing. They don't have specific mechanics though.
Don't remember what the ending is, but I think you can already make out what it would be from here.
ABANDONED 3
Jake quits working for the SSA and gets hired to work as a technician in Disneyland instead. (Never heard that one before) However, the security guard (basically the phone guy and instructor) spots weird entities in form of ghost toons and he doesn't seem to be seeing things. The toons are dead, and they want revenge on Jake.
The game was, believe it or not, planned to be free roam, but still be point and click. Basically, the entire game is just Pirate Caverns, except you still have to survive until morning.
Before every night, there would be a cutscene of Jake driving in his car (because I didn't know what the official story of FNaTI is he had money for one) and also talking with the security guard. Such good buddies!
Not much was planned mechanic-wise. The only defense mechanic I came up with was going to different attractions such as animatronics and turning them on to prevent enemies like Dead Mickey (that was actually his name, he would be photo-negative by the way) from chasing you down. However, they could also break down the attractions and you would have to come back to repair them. Through... Your phone... And if you survive until 6 AM while an attraction is broken, you get fired and lose.
Your phone can also be used as a map to tell you where you are, think of how you bring up the map in Pirate Caverns in Abandoned: Discovery Island.
Later in the game, THE SECURITY GUARD DIES, OH NO! So Jake has to find the password to his office to enter it, then survive against God, Undying and Henry. You would be given absolutely no context as to why they're there. (I'm ripping off The Lost Ones)
After surviving, God gives up on revenge and gives Jake an idea to just draw the toons new bodies. So he does that, they get created, the ghosts possess them and thank him before forever leaving into the toon world without coming back ever again. All's well that ends well.
Next is 3.5. The series is extended by one more game.
Five Nights at Treasure Island 2
...Would be a reboot of Suit Storage. Except with 3.5 toons. Not much was planned or made, except Escaped Mickey's (actual name btw) model.
Lian went back to edgy.
Five Nights at Treasure Island 3
Jake is chilling in his apartment that's totally not designed after mine. Suddenly his neighbor calls him about real life Mickey Mouse characters, then they invade his house.
...This is a reboot of Nightmare After Disney.
The main mechanic would be the flashlight, but for SOME REASON you could still hide under the blanket.
But a new mechanic that was added was moving to the balcony or to the kitchen. The balcony PNM can climb through. (how the hell) As for moving to the kitchen, Monster Undying (This is a FNaF 4-inspired game, remember) can invade the room you're in and the only way to avoid him was by moving into a different room. The gameplay wouldn't change, however. (The kitchen also has a bed)
I don't remember if this was in the main game or in a minigame, but Monster Face could also hide in some very inconvenient spots, such as in a cabinet or in the oven. You would have to find him before he kills you. (Jake doesn't have the strength to turn the oven on and burn him)
There would also be a cutscene about MickMick (Corruptus, not actually MickMick) would whine about his existence as a living 3D model, just as an excuse to make him important. There would also be another character like him called OsOs. It's basically him but Oswald.
Don't remember what the ending is.
Five Nights at Treasure Island 4
...Is a reboot of ABANDONED 3. Yeah, I didn't plan these by that much.
Now the ones for 5.7... Aren't exactly FNaTI. I once had an idea, what if the series FNaTI is in wouldn't be just about Disney... but about the companies that we know from our childhood in general?
Five Nights in Obscurity (FNaTI 2)
Nintendo spots a broken down attraction they never built and hires investigators to explore it. The player ends up getting stuck in it for 5 nights. It turns out, he's not the only one. There's also a random woman as a phone person who's been taking notes about the entities in this place.
The entities are like toons, except instead of being made of ink, they're made of electricity. They would reference Mario characters and have specific names, for example Mario himself would be called The Greeter and Wario would be called The Apparition. (Yes, THAT apparition. He would be a floating head too)
I kept making up random mechanics that make no sense for this game, so the mechanics were never really planned.
You would be going out to explore the attraction after every night, don't remember why and what it would give you.
Samus Aran would eventually appear out of nowhere, it would turn out to be the phone woman turned into one of the entities. (She got the power suit!) Samus is a reference to Undying as being the odd one out of the characters.
The most aware character of them all would be Ashley from WarioWare, (I told you, the Lian rises) as she's known to be the most obscure character that yet has fans. She's basically their leader, something like God in 'toon' form. (Well, not toon, but you know) I remember her also being a flashlight enemy and having visibly sensitive eyes.
There would also be custom night exclusives, such as Sonic.exe, Mega Man, hell even Reimu Hakurei was planned. (If you know, you know)
There would be two endings. The bad ending would be the player turning into Link and commanding the characters alongside Samus.
To get the good ending, you would have to find pieces that connect to FNaTI while exploring the attraction to summon PNM.
After PNM is summoned, he goes on a killing rampage on all of the characters and the final boss with him gets initiated. After reaching 6 AM, PNM's colors turn normal and his personality suddenly changes into a good guy. It's actually The Voice after fusing with Abandoned Mascot's vomit. His evil side takes effect at night. The Voice then takes you out of the attraction.
...Which actually, isn't really an attraction. The attraction its self is an entity called obscurity, where our favorite characters rot once we forget about them. The joke is the name isn't for coolsies, you were actually in obscurity.
Oh, also, the player is Jake. You just never know that.
Five Nights of Creativity (FNaTI 3)
The game would take place in Mowgli's Palace, where FNaTI was supposed to take place if AnArt actually read the creepypasta. You play as Greg, who was kidnapped to the depths of the location. All the entities in the building, toons, ghosts and such are now under the control of Hourglass, who wants to kill God for fun. You have to earn the trust of the entities by interviewing them once they calm down and destroy him.
The characters would be the toons from FNaTI, who don't have control over themselves, new toons and ghosts. Some toons and all of the video game characters from Obscurity have been killed and brought back in form of ghosts, as a reference to the Spirit suits from FNaTI 2 by Malrat.
The new toons would be Felix The Cat, Popeye, Bugs Bunny and Spongebob. Weird, I know. Hell, Sailor Moon would even appear at the end of the game.
The mechanics would be heavily inspired by NBD. I initially wanted to do an NBD, but since Nocturna didn't allow that I made it into a FNaTI 3.
Hourglass would have a robotic body to reference a grandfather's clock.
After each night some toons would calm down and you would interview them.
Jake and Lisa appear as toons. Don't remember who Jake is, but Lisa would be Sailor Moon.
In the end, killing Hourglass came at a cost. Because of a disturbance in time, you would forget about everything connected to Treasure Island and all the documents would disappear, sacrificing everything the SSA went through. The entities say their final goodbyes (Including the dying Hourglass) before the good ending plays.
While sequels of FNaTI that wouldn't rely on it being Disney sounds cool, it doesn't work. FNaTI is known for being a FNaF fan game based on Disney, and there's no changing that. Making a sequel like this just wouldn't make sense.
Aaaaaaaaaaannnnndddd I'm not done. There's one more that I couldn't make.
Guys get ready.
It's really funny.
Nightmare Before Disney 4
Yup!
Someone might've noticed this teaser I slipped into the NBD 3 page. This was a teaser for an NBD 4.
NBD 4, actually, wouldn't really be an NBD 4. It's basically the answer for "What if FNaTI 4.0 had a power shut off mechanic?". You can think of that as a troll.
This was another april fools project I wanted to make, but soon after I ended up not wanting to. I still don't want to right now, there's no point in making this now.
There would be a cutscene in the beginning of you sitting in the 4.0 office, then after some time the lights flicker and the power turns off. Then all the toons turn into Ink-Blots and go after you.
The reason they turn into Ink-Blots and not Shades is because in the FNaTI community the name "Ink-Blot" counted as a secondary name for Shades. I thought this would only make sense.
The mechanics would only be a flashlight and hiding under the desk. The flashlight would have a limited battery. I once considered adding a drawer in the desk that you can open to change the battery.
You could actually see the normal toons in the dark if they're close enough.
There wasn't gonna be any ending, since this was a much smaller april fools project than NBD 3.
Aaaaand now we're done!
Now you guys might ask, will I ever make a sequel to ABANDNONED Reborn?
And to that I say... no lol
I'm gonna admit, I did have plans and even wrote some stuff down. But I'm never gonna have time or patience to make this game. Plus I'm really not proud of the plans I came up with.
