Alright so I watched the fnaf movie and let me tell you it is something else, after discussing the movie with my boyfriend and some friend I can finally give my definitive opinion about this roller coaster of a movie.
(take note that this is my personal opinion)
First of all the good things, the beginning was perfect it sets up the right mood for the movie with the kids playing the arcades and the whole vibe of the older pizzeria and introduce Charlotte as a character pretty well and makes her defining traits very apparent with the whole shtick of her being lonely and being rejected by everyone with the sole exception of Vanessa. Another thing that the movie did that I really enjoyed was the horror scenes, in the first fnaf movie I wished we could have seen more haunting from the animatronics like them glitching or looking at the cameras with their soulless eyes. Well I didn't get that in this movie but what I got might be better with Charlotte straight up possessing people one of my favorite scenes was when Abby got possessed by Charlotte and played hide and seek, the whole scene was just terrifying for me.
unfortunately for 1h45 minutes movie that is all the good things I have to say.
Now onto the bad ones. Vanessa having PTSD from William was an amazing concept that was poorly executed since she fixed that problem in the first 20 minutes of the movie. Another thing that was infuriating to me was the character of Mike, DIDN'T HE LEARN FROM THE FIRST MOVIE!?! Mike just feel shallow in this movie and it looks like he learned nothing from the first film since he is always like "I just want to move on" but then proceed to be the first one to call Henry to know more about the old location, Also a very dumb thing was at the end of the movie when he said to Vanessa to leave them alone because she lied and he could never trust her again, when Vanessa was the only one that really saved Abby in the end. Another point I want to bring is the fact that Henry and Michael 2 extremely important characters in the lore only gets like 5 or 10 minutes of screen time.
Was the fnaf 2 movie bad? Absolutely, Did I enjoy it? of course. I am a fnaf fan, I will love everything that comes out of the franchise because I don't want it to die. I don't shame you if you liked the movie because i liked it too, the references where just so good and the credit song was just amazing to hear again. Will I be watching the third movie? Absolutely my man springtrap is going to be there.
I hope you liked my review and if you are still reading this first of all thank you and second of all drop a comment so we can discuss about the points you liked.
see you all on the flipside
