So after hearing the recent news regarding Unity, I said I was going to leave it for Unreal Engine. Well after some clarification on Unity's end, and some experimenting with other engines. I've decided that I will continue using Unity *for the time being*. I've been using Unity for over a decade and switching engines is a tough thing to get into, the only other engine I know how to use is ClickTeam Fusion 2.5 but that's a 2D engine, and I want to make 3D games. Despite me sticking with Unity I still do not approve of their business practices one bit, I think the decisions being made completely contradict the whole point of what this engine is supposed to be. this is *UNITY* but instead of Unity, I see Division. And truth be told: I honestly don't expect the future to be any good for Unity. Thankfully though I'm an Indie developer currently making fan games using Unity personal edition so the current lame runtime fee BS doesn't affect me currently. Despite that, I don't expect myself to stay safe for too long knowing Unity. But I can only cross my fingers and hope, while in the mean time: Learn a new engine. So with all of that said...
I'm sticking with Unity... Though I still don't approve of their business practices.
