A phone rings and a real estate agent named Rebecca picks up

Rebecca: Hello?

Unknown: Hello, I’m going to be running a bit late, where was the house again?

Rebecca: Oh Scott, it’s 261 Turner Lane, and it’s fine you're the last person for the day anyways

Scott: That’s great, I have a few questions before I get there though

Rebecca: I can answer your questions once you arrive

Scott: Okay, but this one’s really important

Rebecca: Then ask away

Rebecca walks around the house as she’s on the phone

Scott: Wasn’t there like two killings there? Like last year and back in 1996?

Rebecca: Well yes, but the house has been cleaned and the interiors have been remodeled.

Scott: Good to hear, say Rebecca do you know anything about the killings?

Rebecca: Well of course they made an entire movie series about it, what was it again, Stab?

Scott: Yeah that was the one, remember how it started?

She realizes the back door was unlocked and stops for a second

Scott: Hello?

Rebecca: Yeah barely, wasn’t it a phone call or something?

She locks the door

Scott: Exactly

Rebecca: Well I’ll see you when you get here, bye

Scott: Wait, how many murders where there again?

Rebecca: Two

Scott: I'm pretty sure it three

Rebecca: No it was two

“Scott’s” voice changes to the infamous voice of Ghostface

Ghostface: Three once I’m done with you

Rebecca: What?

Ghostface: So Rebecca, What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie?

Rebecca: This prank is so outdated

Ghostface: You wish it was a prank, but unfortunately for you, it’s not

Rebecca: This is a serious house offer so if you could kindly hang up and-

Ghostface: Oh I’m very serious Rebecca, Dead Serious

Rebecca: What do you want?

Ghostface: I wanna play a little game, Rebecca

Rebecca: What kinda game?

Ghostface: Usually it’s trivia, but I’ll switch it up for once, Warmer Colder, Try and find me and maybe I’ll let you leave with your head on your shoulders

Rebecca: Fine you psycho

Rebecca walks downstairs and into the living room

Rebecca: Am I close?

Ghostface: A bit warmer, not quite close though

She walks down the hall into the kitchen

Ghostface: Getting warmer

She continues walking out of the kitchen

Ghostface: Colder

Rebecca: What?

Ghostface: I said colder

She backs up into the kitchen again

Ghostface: Warmer

She goes towards the pantry

Ghostface: Colder

Rebecca gets confused for a second and turns around

She approaches the fridge

Ghostface: Warmer

She grabs the fridge door handle

Ghostface: You’re on Fire

She swings it open fast and seeing the real Scott, dismembered in the fridge, and Rebecca SCREAMS out in terror and turns around to see Ghostface standing behind her, before she can SCREAM again, he stabs her in the side of the stomach and she SCREAMS again as he slowly tears the knife through her stomach sideways

He removes the knife from her and she falls to the ground she clings on to the sliver of life she has left

Ghostface: Three!

Ghostface slices the screen, only for there to not be a title card like usual

He removes the mask and we see Jason, a college student of Woodsboro Community College. He turns around and looks at the pantry and sees it cracked open

Jason: Come on out dude I got her

There’s silence

Jason: It was amazing, it was like, when I stabbed her. She, she was less human, like she just turned into a slab of meat

More silence

Jason: Greg, come on dude stop messing around

Jason opens the pantry door and Greg’s body falls out, nearly savaged beyond recognition. Jason backs up startled

The real Ghostface grabs Jason by the neck from the doorway beside him and backs him up into a glass table into the other room

Jason tries to get up though all the glass shards in his arms and legs isn’t helping

Ghostface picks him up and shoves him into a framed picture on the wall shattering it into his face causing more cuts

Ghostface grabs him by the neck holding him up against the wall

He stabs him in the gut

Ghostface: Do you feel like an animal Jason?

He repeatedly stabs him in the stomach

Ghostface: Like meat?

Jason nearly dead coughing up blood onto the Ghostface mask

Jason: Please

Ghostface slashes the screen into the real Title Card

We fade into a therapist reception. Samantha Carpenter walks in

Receptionist: Hello there, who are you looking for?

Sam: Dr. Christopher Stone

Receptionist: Name?

Sam: Samantha Carpenter

Receptionist: He’ll be with you shortly

After a few minutes Dr. Stone calls Sam in and she enters his office

Dr. Stone: Take a seat, Sam

She sits down

Dr. Stone: How are the medications doing?

Sam: Well I’m not seeing anybody I’m not supposed to be, my main worry is Tara-

Dr. Stone: My main worry is you Sam, what happened?

Sam: The killings, the Woodsboro Murders of 2022 my boyfriend and his girlfriend killed a bunch of people and my friends. Thank God I stopped them

Dr. Stone: And how’d you go about doing that?

Sam: I stabbed him a dozen times and slit his throat

Dr. Stone seems shocked and slightly scared

Dr. Stone: So Sam, why are you here?

Sam: Because it felt… Right

Dr. Stone: I’m going to have to end our session early today

Sam: What?

Dr. Stone: For something like this I need to report to the authorities

Sam: I didn’t say I was going to do anything!

Dr. Stone: Not explicitly but you did imply it, with the severity of the situation I must-

Sam: That’s enough, you’re just like all the others

Sam abruptly leaves the office and goes outside

She slams the door shut, startling Dr. Stone

She storms out onto the street

Sam calls her sister Tara

Voicemail: Hey this is Tara, why aren’t you texting me? (beep)

Sam: Tara, I told you to always answer my calls, I got out of therapy early tonight, maybe I could cook something for us to eat tonight, your choice bye

We cut to when Sam walks into her apartment and hears some banging from inside the bedroom

Sam: Guys?

Quinn, Sam and Tara’s roommate opens the door

Quinn: Sorry, I tripped

Sam: It’s alright, where’s Tara?

Quinn: Promise not to be mad?

Sam: Why would I be mad?

Quinn: You get mad sometimes

Sam: I won’t get mad, just tell me

Quinn: She want to the Omega Beta Zeta party

Sam: I begged her not to go to that!

Quinn: And now we’ve arrived at mad. Listen you can’t just control Tara’s life

Sam: I’m not controlling her life, I’m just worried about her

Quinn: I get that but you need to let her make her own decisions sometimes

Sam: Alright I get it, did she at least take her taser?

Quinn: I do not know how heavily armed she is at this party

Sam sighs and is about to leave

Quinn: Come on Sam, she’ll be fine it’s a frat party, there’s tons of people around her

Sam: But I have to make sure-

Quinn: This is what I’m talking about, you have to bud in her life whenever you can

Sam: I’m- Fine I’ll stay

Quinn: Good, how about we order something to eat?

Sam: Sure

Sam sends a text to Tara

[Be safe]

We cut to Tara, Chad, Mindy, Anika, and Ethan walking back from the party

Anika: It’s about time you finally get out

Tara: Well with my controlling sister it’s hard to

Mindy: She’s only looking out for you

Tara: I get that, she’s just not getting off my back

Tara gets the text from sister, she notes it but doesn’t mention it

Chad: So, what did you guys think of the party?

Ethan: It was okay, nothing too exciting

Anika: It was great what do you mean

Mindy: I thought it was pretty fun

Tara: Yeah, I had a good time too. It was nice to get out and do something different for a change

Anika: I'm glad you came with us, Tara

Tara: Thanks, I'm glad I did too.

Mindy: How about we grab something to eat?

Tara gets another text she checks it and can’t ignore it this time

Tara: I’d love to but… Chad, Mindy you need to see this

She shows them a picture of the news talking about the recent killings

Mindy: Again?

Tara: Maybe it’s different, and just a coincidence?

Chad: It was in Amber’s house

Mindy: Technically it’s more of Stu’s

Chad: Not the time for horror trivia Mindy, and is that Greg and Jason

Mindy: Seems like it

Ethan: What are you guys talking about?

Mindy: Remember the Woodsboro Murders of 2022?

Ethan: Yeah, but-

Mindy: We were part of that, meaning we’re most likely a target

Anika: That’s worrying

Tara: I gotta get to the apartment

Tara starts walking away but Chad stops her

Chad: I’m coming with you

Tara: I’ll be fine-

Mindy: I’m coming too, if we’re all possible targets we gotta stick together

Tara: Fine let's go

Ethan: Woah, with a killer out there we’re not staying here

Tara: Then come on

The five leave to meet up with Sam and Quinn at the apartment and we cut to the apartment when they arrive

Sam hugs Tara right as she walks in

Tara: I’m good, no more stab wounds than I already had

Sam: We’re moving

Tara: What!?

Sam: Pack your bags, we’re moving it’s not safe

Tara: What if it’s a coincidence?

Sam: I’m not taking chances, I don’t want to see you get hurt again

Tara: I’m not abandoning my college education for something you’re not sure of!

Sam sighs a bit annoyed

Sam: Quinn, call your dad, check with him to see if this is related

Quinn calls her dad and leaves the room for a second

Tara: There, calm down Sam

Sam: Same house, Tara think about-

Tara: Sam, listen Sid’s still in town, we can get her help if it is related, alright?

Quinn walks back in

Quinn: He says he wants to talk to you, Sam

She hands Sam the phone

Sam: Detective Bailey?

Bailey: Sam, I was gonna call you, we need you to come down to the station

Sam: What’s happening?

Bailey: I’ll explain later

He hangs up and Sam gives Quinn her phone back

Sam: I got to go

She walks out and Tara follows her out

Sam: Tara, stay here

Tara: No, I’m coming with you

Sam: Tara please-

Tara: You keep trying to keep us together and now you wanna keep us separated?

Sam: Fine, stay close

Sam gets a phone call, but the caller ID says it’s from Richie Kirsch

Tara: Don’t answer it

Sam, disregarding Tara’s wishes picks up the phone

Sam: Hello?

Ghostface: Hello, Samantha

Sam: Just leave us alone!

Ghostface: I’m afraid I can’t do that Sam, I can’t leave loose ends

Sam: What do you mean, “Loose Ends?”

Ghostface: You were part of last years massacre, it’s about time I end this

Sam: Keep wishing

Ghostface: Oh I don’t need to wish, Sam. I’m ending this franchise for good

Sam: What are you? Another Stab fanatic?

Ghostface: I’m not, but Jason and Greg were, don’t you know they were planning on killing you next?

Sam: So you’re protecting us now?

Ghostface: Not quite. I just wanna say if I were you, I’d watch my back

He hangs up

Sam(Quietly): Watch my back

She looks up to see Ghostface pop up behind Tara

Sam: Tara!

Tara: Huh?

She turns around and quickly ducks avoiding a slash at her face and pushes Ghostface back, the girls run around the corner into a nearby convenience store

The two start asking for help from the shop owner, with their words mixing together with each other and the angry shoppers. Then everyone goes silent when Ghostface runs in

Shopper: We got a problem here?

Ghostface simply tilts his head and the shopper pushes him back

Shopper: Well?

Ghostface stabs him in the shoulder and pushes him around then stabs him in the back, then slams his face on the counter followed by the sound of a loud crack.

Another shopper tries to apprehend Ghostface but he quickly stabs him in the neck and twists then immediately stabbing him in the eye and pushes him away

Owner: Hey!

Ghostface turns and notices the owner with a shotgun and ducks before he can shoot causing the movement to make him react, missing his shot

Owner: Go out the back!

Both Sam and Tara: Thank you!

They run to the back entrance and realize it’s locked

Tara: Keys, we need your keys!

As the owner tries to get his keys from his belt he notices Ghostface in the security mirrors, coming up behind him, he quickly tosses the girls his keys

Tara: Behind you!

He tries to turn around and shoot Ghostface but he gets stabbed in the shoulder and shoved into the ground, dropping the shotgun, and Ghostface picks it up

Owner: Wait we can talk about this-

Ghostface shoots him in the head. Tara tries to unlock the door and accidentally drops the keys. Ghostface turns his attention to them and they’re gone. They’re hiding in the isles. Ghostface walks by, looking through the isles and hears something and shoots without hesitation, hitting the freezers covering the girls with glass shards. They try and crawl to the backdoor, but Tara throws a mangled can down another isle. Ghostface walks to the spot and they’re gone. The shelves fall onto Ghostface causing a miss fire. The girls run to the backdoor and unlock it after picking up the keys.

Sam: Run!

The girls run down the alley behind the store

Sam: Nice decoy

Tara: Thanks

They hear a bang from behind and turn to see Ghostface and he shoots at the two but misses and throws the gun down and starts running, and the girls keep running and turn a corner. As Ghostface turns the corner Sam kicks him in the ankle causing him to fall down. They keep running and eventually Tara looks behind her and realizes he’s gone.

Tara: Sam-

Sam: What?

Tara: He’s gone

Sam: He’s going back around

They start running the opposite way and the police arrive

We cut to the police station with Sam and Tara at an investigation room with the police photos of the killings at the Macher residence

Detective Wayne Bailey walks in

Bailey: We found this at the crime scene from the first killings

He shows the two girls a Ghostface mask, in relatively good condition

Bailey: It has the DNA of Richie Kirsch and Amber Freeman, we know you know these two as the murderers of the Woodsboro Murders of 2022, correct?

Tara: Yeah, Sam also got a call from Richie’s number

Sam: The man that attacked us was also had a different mask, a more aged looking one

Tara: Yeah, It was cracked and stuff

Sam: Also, I find it convenient our roommate’s dad is leading our case

Bailey: They said it’d be best if I lead this case since it involves my daughter

Sam: Alright

Bailey: I gotta ask, do you have any alibis for earlier tonight?

Tara: I was at a party

Sam: I was at my therapy session, I can give you his information if needed

Bailey: Do you know anyone who would want to target you two?

Tara: Not anyone who’s still alive

Bailey: Yikes

The door opens and an officer leans in

Officer: FBI’s here

Bailey leaves the room and we cut to him in another room with Kirby Reed

Bailey: May I help you?

Kirby: Special Agent Kirby Reed, FBI

Bailey: Why’d they bring you on the case?

Kirby: I take a special interest in Ghostface attacks

Sam and Tara walk in

Sam: Kirby?

Kirby: Hey Sam

Kirby comes up and hugs her

Sam: You work with the FBI?

Kirby: Mhm

Bailey: You two know each other?

Kirby: We went to Woodsboro High together

Sam: Yeah

Kirby: Detective, I just wanna help, I show you mine, ect

Bailey: They left this mask at the convenience store, DNA traces of Jill Roberts and Charlie Walker, one deceased

Kirby: The Woodsboro Killers of 2011, Charlie Walker gave me this

She reveals a stab wound scar

Tara: Wait one deceased?

Bailey: Jill Roberts was convicted and sent to prison, she’s probably released by now, last we heard from her in she’s in New York, and has been doing a lot better

Kirby: That psycho still doesn’t deserve to be free,

Bailey: Well, we don’t know if she’s involved in this, but it’s definitely a possibility. We need to keep our guard up and investigate all leads

Sam: How can we help?

Kirby: For now, I suggest you two stay with a friend until we can ensure your safety

Tara: I just remembered Sid’s still in town

Kirby: She doesn’t have to go through anymore of this, I’ll try and see if I can get her an easy way out of town

Bailey: Good, you two, should keep yourselves on the downlow

Sam: We’re getting out of town

Kirby: I’m sorry but, you can’t do that

Sam: Why?

Kirby: Well you’re a very valuable asset to the case

Tara: Really?

Bailey: Unfortunately, yes

Kirby: If we work together we can-

Sam: We’re leaving

We cut to them walking out of the police station as they're swarmed by reporters. They walk through them all and ignore their questions. But then someone’s voice stood out among the rest

Gale: Gale Weathers, Channel 4, do you ladies think you’re the reason Ghostface has come back for another round of murders?

Sam swings at her but Gale dodges the punch

Gale: Nice try sweetie but i’ve done this dance before-

Tara catches her by surprise and punches her in the jaw

Tara: Stay away from us

Gale: Are you really still mad at me?

Sam: You said you wouldn’t write a book about what happened, and then you wrote a book about what happened

Gale: Come on, someone was gonna write about it, it’s what I do!

Tara: I heard you couldn’t sell the movie rights

Gale: It’s all about true crime limited series these days

Sam: After everything we went through together, what would Dewey think?

Gale: That’s a low blow

Sam: So was your book. You called me unstable and a born killer

Gale: That’s taken out of context-

Sam: That’s literally a quote

Gale: Listen, I’m sorry, but writing’s what I do

Tara: Well learn to do something new

The sisters start walking away

Gale: I talked to Sidney

Tara: She’s not staying is she?

Gale: Unfortunately she is, she wants to keep herself from Mark and the kids until this all is over

They’re about to get in a taxi then

Gale: Hey, I wanna catch this freak as much as you do

Tara: Maybe, or maybe your scared that without Ghostface in your life, you’re gonna fade away

Tara gets in and the taxi drives away

We cut to Dr. Stone on his couch watching Invasion Of The Body Snatchers. Then the doorbell rings. He cautiously walks to the hallway with the front door. He hears a knock and sees a blurred silhouette of someone through the window

Dr. Stone: Who is it?

Stone approaches slowly the door as we hear the movie in the other room saying "You're Next" repeatedly

Dr. Stone: You’re a day early for trick or treating, y’know?

He makes it to the door and looks at the blurred figure.

Then figure looks up to reveal the Ghostface mask. Ghostface breaks the window and grabs Stone and repeatedly smashes his head against the metal bars then stabs him through the nose he falls back still alive. Ghostface opens the door and walks to him and stomps his head like a pumpkin. He goes to the file cabinet and steals Sam’s files and places them on Stone’s body and he lights them on fire and walks out and then Ghostface leaves

We cut to the police station with Kirby in front of an evidence board. Bailey walks in

Bailey: Another murder, Sam’s therapist, Dr. Stone. He stabbed through the nose

Kirby: Yikes

Bailey: Yeah, they also left another mask at the crime scene

He shows Kirby a slightly discolored mask

Kirby: Any DNA traces?

Bailey: Roman Bridger

Kirby: The fifth Ghostface killer, only one to do it all himself, kudos to him.

Bailey: This only leaves 2 more sets of killers

Kirby: Mickey Altieri and Mrs. Loomis, and Billy Loomis and Stu Macher

Bailey: Also guess who’s files were stolen and burnt at the scene

Kirby: So Sam’s files were stolen and burnt, is this to incriminate her?

Bailey: We don’t know, but it’s unlikely it’s her, though we did manage to recover a part of the files explaining that she had said some questionable things

Kirby: So Sam killed her alibi and burnt her files?

Bailey: Possible. You said Jill survived?

Kirby: Yeah, no way she’s back in Woodsboro though

Bailey: You sure?

We cut to the main 7 in Quinn’s apartment. There’s a knock at the door. Mindy goes to open the door

Anika: Be careful

Mindy: Huh?

Anika: What if it’s Ghostface?

Mindy rolls her eyes and opens the door. It’s Sidney Prescott

Sidney: Hey Mindy, Sam and Tara here?

Mindy: Oh Sidney, yeah in the kitchen. Guys we have a guest!

Sam walks to the door

Sam: Sid?

Sidney: Hey Sam

Sam: Why are you still in Woodsboro?

Sidney: I’m not leaving until I end this, again. And I’d rather keep this away from Mark and my kids.

Sam: Understandable

Sidney: Has anyone here been harmed yet?

Sam: Not recently

Everyone gather in the main room, besides Quinn who’s in her room

Sidney: So has the killer made any calls?

Sam: He called me

Sidney: Did he say anything revealing his plans or hinting at who he is?

Sam: He called me a “Loose End” and that he said he can’t leave loose ends

Sidney: Anything else?

Sam: He said he’s going to end this, once and for all

Mindy: Oh no

Sidney: What?

Mindy: He’s making a finale

Chad: Not again

Ethan: What?

Mindy: He’s trying to kill everyone who previously had anything to do with the franchise

Anika: So me and Ethan are safe?

Mindy: Not anymore, you’re associated with us, you’re a target too

Ethan: Shoot

Mindy: Let’s discuss suspects. Ethan, the nerdy geek, the least possible suspect

Ethan: Thanks-

Mindy: Making you more suspicions!

Ethan: What?

Mindy: You being the killer would be a giant twist

Ethan: Wow

Mindy: Anika

Anika smiles and blows a kiss to Mindy

Mindy: Never trust the love interest

That smile quickly fades away

Ethan: What about you guys?

Sam: It can’t be Sid

Ethan: Yeah but you four? If we’

Chad: It can’t be us, we’re the Core Four!

Tara: No

Sam: Did you just give us a nickname?

Chad: Heck yeah

Mindy: We’re not having a team name like the “Core Four”

Chad: Come on

Sidney: We’re getting a bit off track here guys

Mindy: Yeah

Ethan: Guys, if we’re suspects, you’re suspects

Sidney: That is fair

Sam: What about Quinn?

Mindy: The daughter of a police officer, perfect alibi to be a killer

Sidney: You remind me of Randy

Chad: He is our uncle afterall

There’s a loud crash from Quinn’s room

Sam: Quinn?

Everyone goes silent and stares at the door. Quinn SCREAMS out in pain

Chad busts down the door

Chad: Quinn!?

Everyone pours in. There’s blood on the bed. Sidney notices the bathroom door is cracked open. She grabs her gun and cautiously approaches the door. Sam starts creeping towards the door too

Sidney(Whispering): Stay back

She slowly opens the door, gun drawn

Sidney: Oh God

Tara: What?

Sidney: Guys stay in there

We see Quinn’s boyfriend, Paul gutted hanging from the shower curtain bar, with the entire shower covered with blood

Sidney: Shoot, where’s Quinn?

Mindy: She’s not in there?

The door next to Sidney burst open with Quinn running out, with her clothes drenched in blood

Quinn: Help me!

She gets behind everyone

Sid has her aim on the doorway

Sam: The other door!

The main bedroom door opens and Ghostface slashes Mindy on the arm. Chad then tackles Ghostface onto the ground and out of the room. He gets up quickly and before Ghostface can get up he kicks him in the head and runs back in the room, and Sam barricades the door with a dresser.

Sidney starts wrapping Quinn’s cuts with pillow cases

Sidney: Anika, get the bathroom door!

Anika turns to the bathroom door and sees it’s clear and goes to quickly shut and lock the outer doorway, but before she can Ghostface pops up and stabs her in the stomach and he starts sliding the knife up through her, as she SCREAMS out in pain, he tears the knife out and stabs her in the throat and tears it through, ripping off a chunk of her neck

Mindy: ANIKA!

Sidney quickly shuts and locks the inner door

Ethan starts helping Mindy

Ethan: What do we do now!?

Sidney: We climb out the window

Ethan: What!?

Sam: You heard her

Sam climbs out the window onto the fire escape, it seems to be a bit unstable and shaky

Sam: We can only safely hold two people on at once, Quinn c’mon

Quinn: No, Tara you go

Sidney: Quinn you have to go, now

Quinn: Tara, means more to Sam. Go

Ghostface starts trying to break down the door to the bedroom

Quinn: Go!

Tara nods and leaves Quinn and climbs through the window and they both hastily climb down the ladders

Sam: Come on guys we’re down!

Chad’s keeping Ghostface from busting down the barricade nearly getting a knife stab through the door into his head

Chad: Ethan, Mindy you guys go

Ethan helps Mindy through the window and down the ladders, with fighting through her tears and pain

Ethan: We’re down!

Chad: Sidney, help Quinn down

Quinn: No, you guys go, I got this, if anything I’d rather die than let anyone else get hurt

Sid and Chad exchange a worried look

Sidney: We’re not leaving you for dead

Chad: I got her, Sidney, you go down now

She makes it down, quickly

Sidney: Quinn, Chad, quick

Quinn goes up to the window. Chad leaves the door and climbs through the window and tries to help Quinn out. Then Ghostface finally flips the dresser out of the way

Chad: Come on Quinn hurry!

Quinn: I can’t!

Ghostface runs up to the window and pushes Chad down the first ladder, then he grabs Quinn and bashes her head against the window

Quinn: GO!

Chad climbs all the way down, though a little light headed from the fall. Quinn eventually pushes Ghostface off of her and she tumbles through the window, onto the fire escape

Quinn: I’m coming down!

We cut to the shot of the main crew down below. Then we see Quinn fly off of the fire escape. She falls down seemingly in slow motion. Then everything snaps back into reality as Quinn’s head collides with a dumpster nearly ripping off her head, and having her skull semi-visible. Everyone’s left in shock of what just happened they look back up to see Ghostface, looking down at all of them and simply tilts his head

We cut to the afternoon, as Bailey walks out of the alley his daughter died in, towards the Core Four, Ethan, and Sid. He’s devastated. Sidney goes to comfort him

Sidney: You ok?

Bailey: I’ve lost both my kids, my entire family’s gone

Sidney: Don’t worry we’ll find the one who did this

Bailey: They took me off the case, but I’m not gonna stop until this psycho is dead

Sidney: And they will be

Gale Weathers walks in frame

Gale: Sidney?

Sidney: Gale, weren’t you in New York?

Gale: I had flew back over after I heard the first news on a Ghostface killing. Why are you still in Woodsboro?

Sidney: I’m not leaving until this is done and over with, and I’m not putting my family in danger

Kirby arrives at the scene

Gale: Kirby?

Kirby: Special Agent Kirby Reed

Gale: Special Agent- You’re a child, when did they start letting kids in the FBI?

Kirby: I’m 30 years old, Gale

Gale: You look like a child

Kirby I have a gun, Gale

Sidney: Kirby, it’s been a while

Kirby: Yeah, last time I saw you Jill and Charlie was trying to kill us

Sidney: Weird, ain’t it

Gale: Well since you’re here too, I have something you guys need to see

We cut to the four of them in an alley of some sorts. Gale goes to a door and takes out some keys, and unlocks the door, around the door there’s quotes spray painted like “What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie?” and “I Wanna Play A Game”

Kirby: How’d you find this place?

Gale: It’s called Investigative Journalism for a reason, Kirby. I’m just good at my job. Don’t worry, you’ll get there

Kirby rolls her eyes, annoyed.

Gale: Honestly I don’t know how you guys didn’t find it

They walk in and see artifacts from the previous 5 movies, from the TV that crushed Stu Macher to The exact knives used to kill Dewey

Sidney: What is this place?

Gale: It’s a shrine

Kirby: So how did you find it, last time I’m asking

Gale: I tracked those film students’ transaction history, turns out they bought this old movie theater

Sidney: How’d they get all of this? Isn’t this all evidence?

Bailey: Some cops love money, evidence goes missing everyday

Gale: They must’ve found this place before they killed Jason, and Greg, the masks are gone from the mannequins

Kirby and Bailey walk off to somewhere else and Gale finds a display case of her books, then sees one with Dewey’s stuff. She tears up at the sight

Sidney: I miss him too

Gale: I just wish I was able to be there for him

Sidney: Me too, me too

Bailey and Kirby return to where they are

Bailey: We found a way to turn the tables on this creep

Gale: How?

Kirby: No press, Gale. Sorry, but I’m good at my job too

We cut to the middle of Woodsboro Central Park, we see Sam and Tara walking through the park, Bailey’s in the background with an earpiece on

Tara: Do you really think he’s going to call?

Bailey: He usually calls when his targets are alone

We cut to the inside of a van and we see Chad, Mindy, and Ethan with Kirby inside

Mindy: Are we doing the call tracing thing that never works in movies? “Keep them talking Sam I almost got a trace” And then they hang up before you can get a location

Kirby: I can trace a call in under 15 seconds

Mindy: Dang. Still you got them out there as bait, you think they’re safe just cause it’s broad daylight? This is exactly how our Uncle Randy died. Broad daylight, public place, yanked into a van, stab stab stab, no more Randy!

Everyone goes silent and Ethan comically offers Chad a Cheeto Puff. Then we cut back to Sam and Tara as Sam get a phone call.

Bailey: Who is it?

Sam: It’s him

She answer the phone

Sam: You’re gonna die y’know?

Ghostface: No you’re gonna die!

In the van, Kirby is quickly finding the killer’s location

Ghostface: For a mastermind, you’re not that smart. Waiting for me to call then tracking me, hoping I’m nearby, with the police nearby to grab me. Well unluckily for you Sam I’m not nearby

He hangs up

Sam: Did you get it?

Kirby: Geo location coming through, upper east side halfway across town

Tara: 96th on west?

Kirby: How’d you know that?

Sam: Gale!

Sam and Tar hop into bailey’s police car, Tara in the driver’s seat

Bailey: Hey what are you doing!?

Sam: Are we gonna use the sirens?

Tara: Do you think we were gonna steal a police car and not use the sirens?

They flick on the sirens and drive off

Bailey: It’s a cop car! You can’t steal a cop car

We cut to Gale in her apartment

Gale: “No press allowed” Last time I saw you, you were in glee club, I’m sorry for not thinking you can keep them safe

She sits down and looks at her first book, “Wrongly Accused”

Gale: I started this all

Brooks: You need anything?

Gale: No, I’m good

A landline rings

Brooks: That must be the food

He goes to answer the phone

Brooks: Not the food, it’s for you

Gale: Who is it?

Brooks: They said it’s the killer

He hands the phone to Gale, and leaves the room

Gale: Hello?

Ghostface: Hello Gale, we’ve never spoken on the phone before, this is long overdue. After all these years, I suspect you want an interview?

Gale: Yeah, what’s your motive this time? The movies, peer pressure, fame? Or are you trying to stay relevant?

Ghostface: There’s a mix, but I could ask you the same thing, Gale. Without me you’re nothing, irrelevant. You do know legacy characters are disposable now? No one cares if you die or not, it’s just another Stab film for the fans

Gale: Then why bother with me at all?

Ghostface: To end this endless cyle. And to punish you, for making money off of other’s misery. It’s about time someone makes a buck off of your bloody crime scene

Gale: Y’know you’re like the tenth guy to try this right? Here’s a spoiler, it never works out for the guy in the mask

Ghostface: That may be true Gale, but I’m different

Behind Gale we see Brooks walking back in, then a black glove covers his mouth and then his throat get’s slit and he’s pulled back before Gale turns around

Gale: And how’s that?

Ghostface: All the other’s always leave a mark, and something to continue the franchise. Amber gutted your Dewey, like a fish-

Gale: Shut up

Ghostface: How does it feel to loose the only man who ever truly loved you?

Gale: Screw you!

Ghostface: You weren’t there to comfort him as he died SCREAMING

Gale: You’re gonna die SCREAMING!

Ghostface: Even if I do, you won’t be around to see it anymore. You couldn’t stop what happened to Dewey, just like you won’t be able to stop this

Brooks’ headless body crashes through a shelf holding Gale’s achievements and books. Then his head gets tossed into the room and Ghostface shows himself in the hole in the shelf and wipes of his knife. Gale SCREAMS and starts to run to the kitchen, and Ghostface starts chasing her, and they get in the kitchen Ghostface, about to stab Gale, gets hit in the head with a frying pan Gale grabbed. It causes him to be stunned for a second letting Gale run away for a bit. Then Ghostface leaps off her couch into Gale, pinning her to the ground. Ghostface slowly raises the knife over his head

Ghostface: Gale Weathers Signing Off!

Gale: Not today!

Gale manages to kick Ghostface off, she runs into a walk into another room and she locks the door and quickly tries to unlock a gun case, failing a couple times as Ghostface is trying to bust down the door. She finally unlocks in and immediately shoots the door 5 times. The landline behind her rings, she picks it up

Ghostface: You missed

Gale: Oh sure I did

Ghostface: You win, I’m in the elevator heading for the ground floor

Gale: Sure you are

Ghostface: Maybe you got me, maybe I’m wounded, or maybe, I’m wearing a bulletproof vest

Gale: That’s why I’m going to shoot you in the freaking head!

She shoots the rest of the rounds into the door and reloads then walks out cautiously

Ghostface: You would’ve made a great killer, Gale. Sid, wouldn’t have made sense, Dewey was the fan favorite, but you, you would’ve made a great twist!

Gale: Gaslighting me now?

Ghostface: You were always in Sidney’s shadow. She was always sucking up all the oxygen leaving you where?

Gale: The brains of the operation

Ghostface: For being the brains, you sure don't use it

Gale: Keep talking

Gale looks at her now decapitated boyfriend

Ghostface: Sorry about your boyfriend those muscles of his didn’t help much

Gale: They sure didn’t, can you hold please?

Ghostface: Wha-

She hangs up and then calls back hearing a phone ring from the bedroom. Before she can shoot, Ghostface busts through he door and pushes her arm up making her miss her shot and he stabs her in the shoulder, she falls to the floor. She pushes him off and goes for the gun she dropped. Ghostface kicks it away and Gale quickly gets up and tackles him, but in the process Ghostface stabs her in the side. Ghostface lands on a glass coffee table, and he seemingly gets knocked out on impact. Gale manages to get up and she steps on his wrist so he can’t grab his knife as she is. She raises the knife over her head. Then Ghostface stabs her in the side with a glass shard. She SCREAMS out in pain. He gains the upper hand and takes his knife back and raises it over his head, ready to stab her in the chest.

Ghostface: Say Hi to Dewey for me!

He strikes down into her right shoulder and tilts his head. There’s a ding of the elevator outside and he flees the scene. Sam and Tara run in

Sam: Gale!

Gale coughs up blood and says with the sliver of life she still has,

Gale: He never got me

Sam: Huh?

Gale: Tell Sid, he never got me

She passes out

Sam: Gale, No

The paramedics come in and move Sam out of the way

Paramedic: She’s got a weak pulse

Tara and Sam give each other an affirming look and the leave

We cut to that night, Bailey is at home looking at the files on Gale's attack. He has the TV on playing a movie in the background. Then, his phone rings.

Bailey answers the phone, and doesn't say anything until he hears,

Ghostface: Hello, Detective

Bailey unholsters his gun

Bailey: Oh, it's you again

Ghostface: Great detective work, surprised you figured that one out

Bailey: So who's next, huh? Me? Sidney?

Ghostface: You'll see when the time comes, any more questions, Detective?

Bailey: Ever been shot before?

Ghostface: I have. What, do you think you're going to make it happen again?

Bailey: I'm going to end this spree of yours,

Ghostface: I'm going to put you in the ground just like your daughter

Bailey: I'd like to see you try

Ghostface: My turn for a question , are you scared of the dark?

The lights go out, but the movie on the TV let's out one last word before the power cuts "Run!"

Ghostface: Aren't you sick of this? Again and again, Ghostface killings. Bailey, this can all be over.

Bailey: What? You want me to join you?

Ghostface chuckles a bit over the phone

Ghostface: No, I'm asking you to let this be easy, there's no point in fighting

Bailey: And why's that?

Ghostface: We'll get you

Bailey: We?

Ghostface: You didn't think it was only one of us, did you?

The call ends and then a window shatters in the other room. Bailey's eyes automatically dart to the open door looking into the kitchen, where the glass sliding door has been shattered.

Bailey looks around cautiously, but keeping his main focus on the door, he calls for backup, then he inches closer and hears a creak in the floorboards behind him. Without hesitation, he turns and fires his gun only to hit his TV.

Bailey: What are you waiting for!?

Ghostface 2 pops in front of him and tries to stab him but he grabs Ghostface 2's arm and shoves the grip of the knife into Ghostface 2's nose

Bailey then gets his arm slashed from behind and he elbows Ghostface 1 right in the face. He aims his gun at Ghostface 1 abou

t to fire. Then he gets stabbed in the side from behind and SCREAMS out.

Ghostface 1 leaps up and slices his torso upward and then stabs a dotted line into his stomach with an icepick grip, then turns it to a forward grip to slice open the line of stab wounds, meanwhile Ghostface 2 is using his back as a pincushion.

Ghostface 1: Should've stayed off the case, Detective

Ghostface 1 stabs him in the mouth, as he drowns in his own blood both the killers watch him, their eyes invisible behind the mask.

Then Ghostface 2 takes Ghostface 1's knife and stabs Bailey in both of his eyes, finishing the job, and when backup arrives they're gone.
