Throughout my years on this site, I have come across several sketchy people. GameJolt is a fairly unpopulated and unmoderated site without fully fleshed out TOS. This opens the door for sketchy people to come in and do whatever they want. These people are usually pedophiles and or catfishes.

A few years ago I came across a new account (at the time it was new) that was claiming to be a 13/14-year-old girl. This account gained several friends on the site, most of them being minors (usually young boys). Eventually, I found out this account then began having online relationships with these boys, doing god knows what in private chat. This user then posted a picture of their "face" to convince these young boys that they were indeed real.

This person, as you might have guessed, was not real. That image of their face they posted? I did a quick reverse image search and found it was a girl on Instagram that was completely unrelated to the mentioned GameJolt account. This person was indeed a catfish, most likely an older man taking advantage of the children on this site.

A few days ago I found out about the infamous Ava13. This person gained notoriety on this site due to their cancer diagnosis, and their unfortunate death from it. Hashtags of support towards this user have made their rounds and more. Now, I'm not going to outright say it's all fake, but to be frank, with what I've seen in the past, I do not trust this at all.

The @Ava13 account joined GameJolt only 3 months ago, as well as their other accounts (First red flag). This person has never given any sort of identification of who they are etc, claiming to be a young girl. Their voice was never revealed (apparently this is because their voice box was removed due to cancer how convenient) nor have they ever shown their face. There isn't even a full name for this person.

This user has also somehow ended up in an online relationship, taking place on GameJolt. This relationship went as far as to have a fireside "marriage", in which users like DaylenTVGaming were involved. There are several red flags here, and I cannot help but to not believe that this is a real person, instead, I feel it's merely a potential persona.

Personally, I believe their sudden death as well as the whole cancer thing could potentially be a way to quietly get away with whatever this person potentially did. Apparently, there are medical documents proving that this person had cancer, however, they have never been publicly shared despite them claiming to have existed. I question why a young girl would even have these on hand though.

Another red flag I'd like to point out is the accounts created by "Ava" have also been active after her supposed death, most recently her ROBLOX account. However, people have been saying it is her brother, which makes me question why a relative is actively all of the sudden taking over the accounts of their recently deceased sister. A little bit disrespectful and sudden don't you think?

It also should be noted the Ava13 GJ account was spotted following a game a few hours before her supposed death.

Anyway, I'm not saying to believe me, but I ask you all to be skeptical. Please do not attack the people involved with Ava13, however, I do urge GameJolt to look into this situation. There are just too many red flags for me to not be concerned here. I worry we are not seeing a potential threat here. Thanks all.
