hi so this is the first part of the quickies series a new series of reviews by yours truly were instead of covering the whole game i just go over the stuff i don't like and like yeah that's it let's get started

well well well would you look at that a new fangame by shot of rabbet dev you know the creator of absolute bangers like uh.... uh................ hatful of stories and uh fnaf the farewell i've played both those games and like they're they're fine i guess? i have literally no strong opinions on them other than the fact that they sure do exist

but they recently released this brand spanking new game called fazbears 1985 about the unwithereds it caught my attention because it was being coded by my goat andsy so out of sheer curiosity i decided to play the game and boy i have some thoughts not a lot of thoughts but some thoughts nonetheless without a further ado let's talk about some positives

first up the visuals they're... okay i guess they're just pretty generic scott style visuals with nothing too interesting the models are also fine i guess

the phone guy has a massive problem it's really hard to hear him and most of the stuff he says is just random lore it looks like they knew this was a problem so instead of getting a better actor they added a tutorial menu which like okay bruh

the story is also fine i guess it's about what you'd expect from a fangame with this sorta style just really simple stuff anyway now onto the big boy stuff the gameplay

the gameplay in shotofrabbet devs old games really weren't that great especially fnaf farewell but i do really like the gameplay loop in andsys own original games especially their fnaf 3 and sl cn fangames i forgot the name of them sorry LOL

but uh the gameplay in this is kinda how do i say it messy?

freddy bonnie chica and foxy have really simple mechanics

bonnie is kinda like a fnati character where you have to shut off a cam for him to leave or in this case reboot his systems on the cams for some reason they added a limit to how many times you can reboot his systems which doesn't really make much sense it's not like you can cheese the game with it so why even have it lol
chica is just a generic vent character more about her later

for foxy you flash him in kids cove to send him away

and for freddy fuckboy you turn off the lights

but on night 4 and 5 the diddy ahh bluds of the game become active those being happybunny and null

happy bunny has two forms of attacking if he's in the hallway search around every camera until you find his banjo

and his other form of attacking is appearing in the right doorway where you just have to flash him

null also has two mechanics his first one is literally withered foxy don't think i have to explain myself and his other one is appearing in the right doorway and you just have to not use the light on him

so yeah on paper this sounds like it could actually be you know kinda fun

but oh boy oh boy it becomes a fucking shit show

i have no idea why but the balancing just completely shits itself inside out on later nights especially when happybunny is introduced the game is just constant chaos and not in a good way

before i played the game a friend told me that they thought the balancing was horrible and that they hated it i didn't think it would be that bad but yeah it is that bad

everyone just moves so fucking fast to piss you off and make you crash out i don't mind a challenge at all but this holy moly this is NOT tuff

oh and remember chica she was unironically my opp see because of how fast everyone moves sometimes when i'm closing the vent she instantly moves into my office and i get fucked over so i came up with a new strat where every time that she was in the party rooms i'd close the vent early because the toxic bar fills in really slowly oh yeah there's a toxic bar this strat kinda worked but she was still a diddy ahh blud

and yeah that's about all i have to say for the game it's kind of a nothing burger sadly i tried not to sound too mean during this but maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan they did not lock in with this one i'm sorry andsy i love you to death (as a friend of course) but this was definitely not your best project still can't wait for what else you have cooking in the oven but until then thanks for reading and i'll see yall in the flipside ciao!
