My turn!!! Stuff I did for Crystalized Memories/Lost Bits (MM Phase)


I Don't want to make my ego big, but this is probably gonna be a long post so if you're curious then you'll probably enjoy this.
As you may (or may not) know, I was concept artist, coder and co-owner of FNaS Crystalized Memories (Originally known as Maniac Mania Lost Bits), fan-game which recently got discontinued/cancelled. Since I believe my work is a bit cool and it should not be burried without seeing the light of day, I would like to show it!

ATTENTION

There's going to be Maniac Mania art (in both Losts Bits and Crystalized Memories phases, this DOES NOT mean we were using these assets for the final product, we were just using them as placeholders)


Let's begin when the game was just a Maniac Mania remake (ew)

On this phase, the game was known (and named) "FNaS Maniac Mania Lost Bits"

So let's begin with my First ever logo concepts:

This last one being the final (and first) logo to be chosen
It then evolved/changed to this:

It also had a colored font alt, but it was never used

And finally, a ruby was added behind the logo (Done by @SomeGuyAndStuff )

Later on, I did a more simplified version that stook until the game became something else than a MM remake:

Now as of concept art I have TONS of assets, the first thing I ever did was a "redesign" on Lefty Mario (character that was later on deleted from the game)

I also did some concepts for a Hard-Mode Origin Sonic redesign, but it also ended in nothing

As of skins, I never really liked any (besides collabs or Dev members) but I did do a joke skin pack that was meant to reference the series of comics "Tails Gets Trolled", but due to these comics having controversy we decided to delete these skins of the game

I also made some other joke skins icons like Marvin and Chef Pee Pee

As of actual game art, I was able to do an icon for the Pawn Toads that was meant to be redone by someone else

Also did a Sonny icon (With his old design)

Here's a part where I will fill with contet, and it's Menu's. In case you didn't know, I'm an UI freak, and I designed or made concepts for most of the menu's on this game, the first one being the conditions menu:

The conditions were meant to be exclusive challenges of the lab mode. For example Less time for doors to be closed, doorlights flicker/not work, etc.

I also did a concept for Righty's Fair menu (Mode that was later scrapped)

And I Was able to "redesign" the Title Screen

I made new concepts for the Main Menu (here's the evolution)

And I also did the new achievements emnu (with our new achievements too) with the help of @IronDragon2940 !

Me and @IronDragon2940 also did a settings menu (Based on the Nintendo's Switch UI) and a Music Menu!

I also made concepts for the Custom Night menu/Maniac Mode menu

And polished it a bit with some new tweaks and fonts (with the help of @ColdSky0 and @IronDragon2940 too)

Finally, I also made a concept for a skin menu (instead of the skin room, you would access a skin menu on the Maniac Mode)

I also suggested a concept for the Challenges menu on the Maniac mode

And that was all I did for when this project was just a Maniac Mania Remake, now let's move into the big stuff!!


Crystalized Memories phase (peak!!!)

Despite the small time this game had for development, I think I managed to do what I wanted and what I felt was right and looked good.

When the game first started, we kept some Maniac Mania aspects still (Artstyle, Game resoution, etc) and my first ever concpet for this phase was the icons and a new custom night menu

And I did some icons too like Clone Yoshi, Taingle, Luiginette and Withered Tails!

I also came with a pose concept for Luiginette which was later done by Paint!

I was also able to redesign the Main Menu, here's the evolution! (Icons done by @blansk_ )

And I also made a concept for the info menu too! (Info's done by @CODA_Chilly , @PaintingStudio & @MoleyMSPAINT )

Then I started sketching some new office assets, here's the evolution of the back side

My final words

During development, I was just (besides concept artist) a coder. My job was to polish/fix and adjust (in terms of details) what Iron did (with the help of ColdSky too).

This project was a before and after for me, I met so many nice people which I still keep contact, and I met so many bad people too! The development of the game might've been a bit stressfull at the end, but during it's golden days it was something I would definitely repeat. It's sad to see that good projects will end in a community that from my point of view, doesn't really deserve some of them. I'm not saying everyone here's a bad person, but I have hardly met someone nice besides this team.

I hope there's more cool projects from the hand of Iron and co. As of me, well I'll just do my thing.
