Alright so, this probably doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone but I will explain.
Let’s get the obvious reasons out of the first. Firstly, SpringTrap/ William Afton is my favorite FNaF character. Secondly, I am crazy when it comes to the lore. I love lore. Lore is what makes or breaks a game for me if it’s a lore based game. I love the lore of FNaF 3 in particular. The fact it’s just William Afton lore I like.
Now we get to the other reasons for FNaF 3 being my favorite game. The minigame sections are a huge inspiration for my own FNaF fan game. I have always loved pixel art but pair that with a story and I am hooked. That’s part of the reason I love undertale so much, but that’s a whole other can of worms that I really don’t want to get into. The music is also memorable. I listen to “Don’t Go” more than I want to admit. It is my favorite song I’m all of FNaF. Also a memory that always sticks out in my mind when thinking about FNaF 3, is when I heard “Swan Lake” in one of the minigames. I own a music box that plays that song. The first time I heard it in FNaF 3, I was watching Markiplier play FNaF 3 and heard the song. I had to take a double take to make sure I was hearing it right. Now every time I play that music box that I have, I think of FNaF 3. There is some irony with that music box since I got it in 2015, but anyways enough of me ranting about one song.
I will now get to the very obscure reasons. When I finally got the first 5 FNaF games, the first one I played was FNaF 3. FNaF 3 is the game that I have more memories of than any other FNaF game. When I played Help Wanted for the first time, one of the first sections I ever completed was the FNaF 3 section. The first time I saw SpringTrap in VR, I was incredibly happy. I could go into more detail about it but this is already getting very long.
Ultimately, FNaF 3 is my favorite game because of the amount of good memories I have because of it. I could go on for ages about my love for FNaF 3 but this would become a novel. The game appeared in my life and never left. It has had more of an impact on me than most other games. That is why it’s my favorite.
