X just does shit then in 2011 he finds earth or whatever thinks "what if i make this vessel thingy of sanic da hedgeblog and make a game and tell people to play it" and his plan works gaining three victims who are named alan(tails vessel) julie(knuckles vessel) and paul(eggman vessel who was fucking erased lmao) then some dumbass decided it was a good idea to put his game on gamejolt thinking it would stop X or whatever but surprising absolutely no one it doesn't work and it only gives X more victims

years later he is now lord X who is now much more older(ofc) experienced and cruel now with extra victims like a sonic vessel who is the partner of julie but the sonic vessel(i'll just call him sonic since he has no official name yet like the amy vessel) is constantly mistaken as lord X which causes julie to break up with sonic(haha you're single now lolololol) then there's amy who travels with alan and then it is revealed she knows what undertale is(fucking based) alan is 25 and amy is 19(the age difference is insane) then there's alice a cream vessel who was deceived by lord X who is in this rabbit vessel(old version of official sonic fun fact) before he went after alice he went after her father who is in an eggman vessel who isn't paul btw and then after that lord X tells alice her father lost something of great importance and told her to follow him into a forest to find this thing of great importance then it is revealed what he had lost was alice(plot twist DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNNN) and she was turned into this cream vessel as a trophy to make her father mad because lord X loves ragebaiting him apparently which fun fact the father and lord X are like rivals now that is it for the main universe so far but there are alternate universes so yeah
2017X(doesn't have a verse name or whatever) or "sonic" is this version of 2011X that takes place after 2011 but doesn't turn into lord X but falls into delusional that he IS sonic the hedgehog who is cold....so cold.... there isn't much to say other than that he thinks he's sonic or whatever

all the versions only have one form except lord X and 2017X(broken face) who has his "true" form his internal form i actually asked joe if this was still canon and he said "Yes, though the designs that have been made public aren't being used anymore since Sonic 2011, I've had new concepts in place for all of X's appearances throughout the series. Which meant rehauling past concepts into something more concise. Internal is still canon, just different." can't wait to see what joe is planning for internal form as for his "true" form

you see this isn't actually what X looks like in truth it's only what we can comprehend based on what bleeds into our dimension putting down X's true form would undermine the reasoning behind it so instead this is what we can make of it which is a constantly shifting mass of sentient VOID matter that is never the same twice the purple being the wavelength of light that isn't absorbed and is not a hint to it's actual color however X is an alien with little to no similarities with human beings i like to think this specific capture is of X during the soulless sage around the title of Lord X explaining the more "human" features as a part of how X's indulgence in our culture has rubbed off ever so slightly for just a moment but it's actually just the pareidolia phenomenon as what people perceive to be a skull isn't one to begin with fun fact any version of X has no idea what love is and his understanding of it would be completely twisted and the faker form that is something or whatever fun fact X's favorite sonic game is Sonic X-treme(cancelled game) he finds it particularly fascinating and inspiring to X's work but he does take to what stuck with him there isn't a least favorite there's a least liked one because his fascination with sonic isn't like what some people think it is oh also the cult of X is not canon anymore

they are simple these are the forms you take of when you enter X's world as for what your vessel would be it's based on what your sub-conscious chooses i feel people make the mistake of "i end up as who i want to be" when it's more like "i like this character but I don't want to be them" outside of sonic there is no other factor besides situational circumstances
