GameJolt is, in a phase now. I have been using GameJolt. I see image bugs. Image bugs make images not load make images look broken or make images disappear. Image bugs hurt the user experience, for players and developers. The technical issues keep happening. The technical issues show that GameJolt does not get maintenance and quality control.

In addition, to the problems I notice that GameJolt has faced controversies that have damaged the reputation of GameJolt and the trust that the community has in GameJolt. I also notice that GameJolt often stays silent or responds slowly and that only makes the users more frustrated.

The support system is another concern. In my experience I sent emails to GameJolt support and GameJolt support ignored the emails and GameJolt support gave no reply or follow up. I cannot state a confirmed fact, for everyone. The support system gives the impression that user concerns are not taken seriously. For a platform that depends on the community lack of communication is unacceptable.

I think GameJolt feels more unreliable and badly run. If GameJolt does not make improvements if GameJolt does not communicate clearly if GameJolt does not fix bugs and listen to user feedback the platform might lose the trust and the involvement of the community that keeps the platform alive.

Another big problem made me quit the platform in 2024. The problem was the account. The old account forced me to open an account. The old account would not let me post normally all. The old account would log out at random with no warning. The old account made staying active impossible. The old account made managing anything. Editing the profile, on the account was broken. The editing gave errors. The editing failed to save. The editing had features that did not work as intended. I felt frustrated.

I could not delete the post because a bug blocked me. The post was a game that had been canceled. The post stayed on the profile. The bug kept the post from being removed. The post made the account look bad and outdated. The errors, the disappointments and the limits made the account almost unusable.

Because there were bugs and there was no support I could not keep using the account. The account was no longer viable. I felt I had to create an account. Creating an account was not a choice. Creating an account was the way to get away, from the broken system. The broken system did not work properly.

I want to make clear that I did not leave the platform. Even, with the problems I'm still on GameJolt. I created an account not to abandon the platform but to work around issues that made my old account not work. I stayed because I still care about the community and the projects, on GameJolt. I still care. Staying active has been hard because the bugs and the problems keep coming and are not fixed.
