New cutout art + A few more updates on the current plan!

Read more below

Hi guys! I wanted to pop in with another update on game progress so far.

I still don't think I've gotten quite to the point where I can call these "devlogs" yet, but I hate leaving you guys in the dark with a lot of tell and not very much show, so hopefully a peak at the new cutout artwork will suffice for some showing!

Though that does get me into our next topic...
Due to some recent findings about the previous artist who did the cutouts, and some VERY recent findings about our previous composer (like, yesterday recent), neither of their works are going to continue to appear in the games.

I won't be going into the details of what they've done as a GameJolt post is not the time or place for that, nor do I feel its relevant to discuss as a whole, only to tell you about what's happening regarding those specific aspects going forward.
This is a game page after all, not a callout page!

That being said, as you can tell the cutout art is well on its way to being replaced (and they needed to be changed to reflect the current designs anyway, so two birds with one stone!), and the new art is actually being done by me! I've done the poster art previously, so it feels only fitting to keep everything consistent!
As well, though unfortunate, the soundtrack for the game will be replaced in the future.

Fret not, though! All of the tracks you hear in the game currently aren't going away for good, and will likely be repurposed into newer versions of them with a new composers' own artistic twist. Similar vibe, but different!

We on the team have currently been looking for a new composer for a paid position in general, and have a few ideas in mind. Though we're likely to go with one of our current options, I'll be first to let you all know if any additional positions are available. We're trying to keep a pretty condensed team to avoid any complications in the future.

Anyway, once again I always feel the need to apologize for my very long rambling posts like this. Perhaps some at least find it better than a post full of bulletin points and professional speak? Who knows lol

Here, to make up for all my ramblings, I leave you off with this video from Squeaks, who has a... very interesting idea for our use of placeholders. (A bit of humor never hurt, right?)

To keep you all updated on current progress though, Tophat's AI for the main night section has now been finished, and Lolbyte is currently being worked on as I type this.

As you can see from the video as well, the LED flash has been properly implemented too! (Though I'm sorry that this is how you have to see that for the first time.)

All main night character assets have been made with the current exception of Coraline and Chica's main assets, who has a slight twist to her old mechanic... Well, two actually, but we get there when we get there!

That's about all I can share for now, but I hope this is still sufficient enough to tide you all over!
Also as an additional note, I've seen a lot of people still following the game page as of late, and that makes me really happy to see. I was a bit worried that with the dismissal of the previous developer 'partnership' that many people would be inclined to look away, but it brings me so much joy knowing that people are still interested to see where this project goes next!

These characters mean a lot to me, as does this story and the project as a whole. Finally having proper creative freedom over my work feels like such a breath of fresh air, and I thank you all so much for sticking around with me. I want to do them all justice as much as you guys want to see them done justice, hence why I'm trying to take feedback into account as much as I can this time around. I know that was a major issue with our previous dev.

Regardless, at the end of the day I'm just one person with a small team of friends who does this for fun. Fangames are made for passion projects, not for competition in my mind, and I'm very, very passionate about all of this.

Thank you to my current team for sticking with me, and thank you, the viewer, for sticking around too :)

-Rose

We now have a Security avatar frame available for purchase with Joltbux! Now if you guys want to support our team in a way that isn't just charged stickers, you can! (Or maybe you just want to show some Party World pride...) #fnaf

More work on Vicious Right Hook We actually managed to model and implement a stage all in one day which was pretty cool. It's not 100% finished but its pretty damn close in comparison to most of the stuff implemented so far.

Well since everyone seemed to like the idea of another QnA, here we are! Ask me about anything! Lore, game progress (though you guys already know about that), how my day is, anything you like! I'll do my best to respond. :) -

Before you, the new banner and thumbnail for Sweet Harmony's Gamejolt page! It was a hard work to make it, mostly on the banner, I wanted to make something amazing and stand out.

New news is closer than you think ;)

Would you guys like to do another Q & A session soon? (Or even here on this post!) I figure its only fair to keep you guys tided over while you wait on new updates. -

As mentioned in my previous post, I would like to post on here about non-fangame games I'm working on too. This is Rook, Tootsie, and Roe (left to right), which are 3 out of 11 characters for an upcoming fighting game I've been working on.

New office!

Small devlog update to help break the silence. Read below! #fnaf
