New DEMO for Yandere Simulator: Mission mode Visual Novel COMING SOON! Click to read more!

Well, hello there!

It's been quite a while I've written a devlog, right? I didn't want to remain silent for that long, but now's the right time to come out and talk a little bit more about Yandere Simulator: Mission Mode's future.

For the past months since the release of the planned changes' list, I've unfortunately only done a small amount of progress since then. As my city began its quarantine (and it's not over yet), my college classes were quickly adapted into a digital format (along with some other courses I have). Because of that, I received a huge amount of homework and projects to do as teachers had to find a way so that students could get grades, to the point that I had to leave all my personal projects behind until the semester was over to focus on my studies. There was no way to take off some of my time to develop the game, as the few times I tried to do so had negative consequences (such as more work to do on the game as I had more ideas, more notes I had to take on changes, stress and lack of focus on college classes due to my mind focused on the game). I did manage to make some changes to it, however, just not that much.

So, what changes did you manage to do?

Most of the changes were minor ones but still significant, such as:

  • The character's name fonts are now changed for a free serif font;

  • All low-quality background images were removed and changed for higher-quality images;

  • The "pink hearts" video in the game's introduction was changed for a image that recreates a frame of the video, and it now looks so much better than that black-bordered and pixelated video;

  • The music in the game's main menu is now a complete version of the "Rynos' Theme" (Mission Mode's original "Mission Accomplished" theme), following some feedback I got on it;

  • Grammatical mistakes around the entire Prologue were removed;

  • Following the last topic, some of the dialogue was shortened and others were removed in both the Prologue and Chapter One (this process still has to be re-done, as there's still a lot of work to do);

  • The promotional image for the game had a slight change in its colors, but this one will be poster later.

Just like I said, not much progress has been done since then, and I'm sorry for disappointing people who are expecting the game to release soon enough. But still, I have some good news...

A new demo arrives in July 2020!

The semester for my college is almost over, as I only have two weeks of classes remaining until we go on a break. Everything is going well by now and all my homework and projects were sent to teachers. That means I'll have an entire month to focus once again on Yandere Simulator: Mission Mode - The Visual Novel!

By the end of June, I'll be back developing the game and following my planned changes' list, so I can release an updated demo of the game with all the changes done! Of course, this demo won't have any new story chapters and such, but as I said in a previous announcement, there will be more options to choose from throughout the demo!

The demo will be arriving by the end of July 2020 for Windows, Mac, Linux and Android.

Thank you for taking your time to read this entire devlog! I hope you understand my situation and you're excited to play the second demo for Mission Mode - The Visual Novel! Have a great day, and we'll survive these dark times we're currently passing through!
