New face model test + grass deformation

It’s only the beginning of March, but spring is already in full force here in Japan, which is very positively affecting our productivity. Incidentally, we’re approaching the first birthday of our game - I started working on the first prototype around the same time last year (expect some funny videos of that, soon).

Small things first - I got around to implementing a new grass material which supports simple grass deformation by multiple characters and here it is in action!

Finally, the big cool thing we spent most of the previous month experimenting with - a new style for our characters’ faces! I posted some concept art before, but finally, we have some screenshots of the actual in-game model of our first recipient - Ren, the protagonist’s sister.

We’re really happy with where this is headed, though I still want to tweak it a bit to make it play better with different lighting scenarios.

We’d be very happy to hear our followers’ thoughts on this one. Do you prefer the old face? Or is the new one the way to go? Let us know!
