We’ve implemented a new feature, it’s a pretty major one folks, it’s Currency and Merchants!

When we started working on Tobimaru, we really wanted to make the game a simple platformer without things like currency. Why have we implemented it then? It’s because we wanted to reward the player for their achievements in the game such as finding a hidden area, and beating enemies.

Merchants have been implemented so that you can actually make use of the currency you get. For now they just sell you power-ups, but we have few ideas on the items that Tobi can buy from them. We’ll tell you later about them.

You’ll be able to test out the feature with the next build. Hopefully, we can upload this sometime this week.
