A new week and a new release for Civilization Wars!
New gameplay options!
You can now add buildings to your cities. The following buildings have been implemented:
Barracks
When you have a barracks in your city, you will produce units faster in this city.
Farm
With a farm you gain one extra food each turn
Market
With a market you gain one extra gold each turn
Stables
The stables allow you to recruit horse knights
Archery
The archery allows you to recruit archers
Walls
The walls improve the defense for any unit stationed in the city
You can build a maximum of three buildings in each city, so choose wisely. It is better to produce military oriented buildings like the barracks or the stables close to the front line and to build economy-based buildings like the farm close to your rearguard.
Bug fixes
We fixed an error that allowed the enemy units to quickly flash through the screen. No more accidentally peeking at your opponent's units
We changed the cheatcode to show the entire map. This used to be F which some users pressed accidentally, now it is SHIFT + F, which you will not press on accident unless you cat walks over your keyboard
About Civilization Wars
I love civilization and I love Advance Wars / Fire Emblem. With Civilization Wars i am trying to create some sort of a hybrid form between these great games that might some day be enjoyed by others. I am always looking forward to receive feedback on the game, so please drop me a message if you like to!
Controls
The game is currently playable, however I did not yet pay much attention to the user interface. To play the game, use the controls below:
Select a unit by left-clicking on it
Move a unit with WASD
Select a city by left-clicking on it
Change production in a city by left-clicking on the item you want to produce
Press space to end your turn
The game is won if you have eliminated all other players by capturing all their cities.
What should we work on next?
Please fill in the poll below and let me know what other things you would like to see included in the game!
