Alright, though I’m currently sitting here and nursing an eye problem, I was still able to get a good amount of work done on “My Only”, so lets dive on in.
Behind the scenes, I’ve been regrouping and reorganizing the coding to help make things a little cleaner to manage. I’ve as added in some of the poem sequences for the first main sections, so the first third of the game is now totally done with. With it done, I sat my butt down and crunched through the next main area (surprise, the graveyard everyone saw coming) and got it’s layout finished. though it still needs some structures and details, it’s in and ready for further implementations of items and entities. Hurray! :D
Lastly, my sounds artist has begun his lengthy process of creating sound effects and such for the game. It’ll take even longer to implement them all into the game, but audio is the last thing I worry about when I’m working on things, so he’s got plenty of time still to crunch through the list. On a side note: The sounds will all be 8-bit-ish to suit the game’s style, as will be the music and ambiance to tie it all in later.
That’s it. I’m happy with things so far, and I’ll hope to have another good whack at things dealt within over the next week again. Watch for more news to come and enjoy this little snapshot of the graveyard area.
Enjoy! :)
