New Update - 2 new modes, a new enemy, and rebalancing


List of Changes

New Homing enemy

Changes to Mega Hyper mode

  • Increased blue gear frequency (every 500 to 300 frames)

  • Decreased blue gear score (500 to 300)

  • Blue gear timer now resets on phase transition

  • Blue gears despawn on phase transition, giving 300 score per gear

  • Increased the number of orbiting red gears

  • Changed the aesthetic of orbiting red gears

  • Changed the aesthetic of boss being damaged

  • Changed several attack patterns

  • Added new “spawn homing” attack pattern to phase 4

New Snake mode

New Mirror mode

Changed AI for Manpac mode

Changes to Maze mode

  • Added new “Stars” tile

  • Added new “Heart” tile

  • Changed “Squiggle” tile

General rebalancing of enemies

Hyper mode is unlocked to begin with

Square mode is unlocked at 5000 instead of 8000 score

Space now resumes the game

Changed explosion sound

Added new music for “enemy exclusive” modes

Fixed minor bug involving deleting save while paused

Minor code cleanup

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
