Hi everyone, EleCyon here.

As you might have known, we are all anticipating the release of Super Cat Wars 2.0. But given that college was getting in the way as always, I cannot just release a large-scale update like that in this state, as I can't work on the mod most of the time.

However, the good news is that... I have gotten plans to release updates in smaller bites - that means you get new skins, new songs, new maps, and much more, but on a smaller scale in little updates! The mod's still alive and going, and I appreciate everyone still making videos about it and supporting the project as always.

So the new update versions are gonna be handled like this:

• Version X.0 - X is used to indicate major release candidates, which will add in a lot of new content.

• Version X.Y - Y will be used to indicate smaller content updates and bugfixes, if there needs be while still falling under the major release version.

• Version X.Y.Z - Z is used to indicate smaller bugfix updates, including updates to the forked version of Super Mario War used for SCW.

The next snapshot I'm about to release will not be called Snapshot 3... it's pretty much Update 2.0. The second story mode world, "PAWS Operation Monochrome", will be released at an unknown date, but new, small-scale content will still be pushed out as much as I can, so there's still a lot for everyone to enjoy!

Here's the final Update 2.0 changelog, with what we got so far. Expect more stuff coming in future updates!

ENGINE

• Updated the Super Mario War fork by mmatyas, which now features some QoL additions like extended tilesets and improved memory handling of tile types on tileset files.

ASSETS

• Added tilesets based on the following games: Super Cat Tales: PAWS, Slime Labs 3, Dadish 3, and Daily Dadish. Some of these are the first tilesets to make use of the extended tileset limit system.

• Added backgrounds based on Dadish 3 and Daily Dadish. The missing Fungo Cave background from Dadish has also been added too.

• Added new music packs: Super Cat Tales PAWS and Daily Dadish, including a new composition made for the latter.

• Added new music to Neutronized Jams: Slime Labs 3, composed by random-storykeeper

• Various fixes and improvements to existing graphics to preserve accuracy to some degree for their source games, or to fix minor errors.

• Changed some music ordering

SKINS

• Three new skins from Super Cat Tales PAWS: the scientist cat, Mara (blue cat), and Cloe (fish bandit boss)

• New crossover skins: a couple of Dadish skins have been added, in addition to skins based on Nyatasha Nyanners and Ironmouse.

• Several new skin submissions from the Super Cat Wars Discord server have been added.

MAPS, TOURS AND WORLDS

• Added Story Mode (Party Edition) - a version of the first SCW Story Mode which allows access to every single world and stage within the map. As Story Mode is meant to be played in one whole power session, this serves as an alternative for quicker players. You can end the current session for this mode by playing the epilogue stage in Hikari City Arena or defeating the final boss.

• New maps created by EleCyon including some pride-themed ones.

• Several new map submissions from the Discord server have been added.

• Rigs' boss music in Story Mode has been changed to the boss music from Super Cat Tales: PAWS.
