Edit: I am also now on Twitter, though the content I post will probably not always be relevant! https://twitter.com/JCJimmy313
Hey, everyone. This is Jimmy, and as of writing, it's been almost two years since Scholar of the Wilbur Sin first released. Wow! It is scary how quickly time passes.
Since the completion of the mod, I have:
endured hardships both physical and emotional
met and worked with many extremely talented and amazing people
burned bridges and buried hatchets
and last but not least, graduated university!
A lot happens in two years, doesn't it? Well, the past is called the past for a reason: it has passed us by. So let's talk about now; what's going on?
My current commitments as far as Lisa goes are LISA: The Pointless and LISA: The Undone. I have been programming for Pointless ever since Scholar's original release, though these days I'm more of a writer/designer. My role is even more minor regarding Undone, but Redguy is a good friend of mine, and I intend to help him achieve his vision any way I can. Be sure to check out Undone here on Game Jolt if you haven't already. I can attest to its quality!
I am also a minor member of other, original works. One of these projects is Juanaloppe's Bogus Iliad, a game developed by my friend Professor Blaze. Check him out on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/GlazeProfessor.
I do have something else in the oven, but whether or not anyone sees that is still up in the air...
But real life is going to take precedent soon. I am presently in the process of looking for work in the writing field, and sometime early this year, I will be moving out of my childhood home to greener pastures. An exciting yet stressful time indeed.
It's for that reason that I have recently set up a Ko-Fi page, where anyone can donate/tip me with their real cold hard cash if they so please. I know that several people expressed their interest in donating for Scholar's development, so to those people, here is your chance; however, don't think of it as contributing to Scholar. That is an old project that I am not even proud of these days. Rather, if you liked Scholar, think of it as contributing to my future endeavors as a developer/designer/editor/writer and so on.
The link to that page is included in this post. Check it out and consider tipping! I would appreciate it greatly.
One more thing: this will likely be my last post here on Game Jolt. Quite frankly, I don't really like this platform. If in the future I complete something playable, I will probably post it on itch.io instead. Just wanted to let everyone know that.
Alright, that's everything I had to say. If anyone is still here—waiting for the Monster Update or even still playing Scholar—thanks again for playing! As much as I don't enjoy it personally, it was a big milestone for me developmentally.
Take care, and Happy New Year!
