i feel like this is 90% the reason why, i think that gamejolt using a premium currency like its a shitty mobile as the only way you can really support it is just kinda scummy, for lack of a better word

the whole reason why premium currency exists is to make it harder for you to tell how much you're actually spending, and if that "wasnt the reason why joltbucks are a thing" then why even add them in the first place? just make everything have a set price and that way you're not forcing your users to overspend money if all they want is a single sticker pack or avatar frame

and also just the fact that the only way you can give them money is through a shop with set prices is just kinda weird, i know there's a comment on the discounted avatar frame post that said that it's because they dont wanna have their money go through a third party (they dont wanna have to deal with the possibility that they're not gonna get All the money they're getting donated)

another reason is the fact that they delete comments that call them out??

like for example in the linked post, in the first few minutes of it being posted, there was a comment that mentioned the "nft-free" part of the post, which is referencing the time they partnered with an nft company for a game jam, that they just proceeded to delete?

ignoring criticism and people who call you out isnt necessarily giving your company the best look.

i really do think that this site has kinda just been in decline ever since they kinda just stopped listening to the community after firesides were removed
