NightByte Cut Content

Hello! Just for fun, decided to share with you some cut-out content from NightByte. Most of the ideas have remained on paper, but there is also something that has been preserved in graphic form.

Initially, the game was supposed to be based on sound, but during the development process this idea had to be abandoned, banal due to lack of development experience, and partly because of my laziness. Yes, I'm still lazy, sorry) In detail, the only way we could determine where animatronics are when they are not on cameras is sound. And since the game map was originally planned to be large, and there were 2 cameras, the rest of the building would be a kind of "blind spot". As a result, the only thing left of the original concept is the number of cameras.

The early designs of animatronics were different, this is especially noticeable in Klu, who was supposed to have a strange smile to which a beak would be attached, but I abandoned this idea in the process of modeling the character. And at the time of drawing the concepts of the characters, the third animatronic was not invented, so instead of Freud you see a strange broken man. Kitto was originally supposed to have eyebrows, as well as all animatronics were supposed to have short legs, but apparently it didn't work out.

Early Concepts of Animatronics + Freud's first design.

The main change was that all the characters had to have a full animation in the office, like in Final Nights 4, but since my animations looked ugly and out of place, I had to abandon this idea. The only surviving record of an early Kitto animation test in the office is now in front of you.

Sorry for bad quality, that's all I've found.

Also, instead of a simple "Light" button, there should have been a lever in the office with which you had to interact to turn off the light. Later, the idea was redone, and it was necessary to click on the lamp hanging at the top. And, accordingly, at later stages of development, the idea was changed again, now to the current version.

And by the way, there were supposed to be achievements in the game, but I couldn't make them again :/

Everything, what has left.

And, the most interesting, unused cutscenes. There are only three unused cutscenes in the game, an early version of the intro, an early version of the logo and an unused moment from the trailer. (Some of them were brightened because they was too dark)
