Nights with Robotboy and Friends Mega Devlog (Read Article)


Hey guys!

RBT here, and I'm so sorry for a lot of inactivity in this game for almost three or four months, due to the fact that I was working on other games, like The Impossible Quiz: PN Edition, and constantly updating Peashooter Nights as well. Also, my school has started, so I won't be around as much until this Christmas. So, yeah. Sorry in advance.

Is this game on hiatus, dead, or cancelled?

Of course not. I wouldn't leave nor cancel NwRaF because it is one of my greatest FNAF fangame that I'll really need to do and finish, probably next year or so. For now, it is still a work in progress, but I had made some improvements on the current game.

What should I expect in the full game?

  • Tons of characters and new upcoming game mechanics!

  • 3+ nights to be played and enjoyed!

  • New and redid the tutorial menu to make it look better! (Check the video provided)

  • Main HUD changed to improve some stuff.

  • A lot of custom night challenges along the way with special rewards and unlockable skins! (Skins are not sure yet, tbh)

  • Surprises and tons of secrets coming!

  • The lore and story of the game more explained in detail within dialogue cutscenes.

  • And a bunch more!

What are the new changes in the old demo that you need to change or change back?

  • Golden Robi's appearance will now make the screen slowly go dim until it goes fully dim, he jumpscares you.

  • I will change back the difficulty of Normal Night when the demo came out (All 7 characters will get active slowly as the night goes on), but I will nerf it a bit to make it possible for the player to beat the night for couple attempts.

  • Extended the AI level of the characters from 11 to 15.

  • Removed the Overload Meter in the Back Vent, because it brings to much hassle, in my opinion.

  • I will be changing the look of the Custom Night menu because that one was made in a rush, same thing with coding it and stuff.

  • Adding a fun little easter egg when you use the phone in front of your desk. (Call for help, and you'll see what happens)

  • I will be changing the Intro of the nights, because it takes too much storage space in the game, so I'll change it into a classic FNAF styled one instead.

  • I will be changing the dialogue of both Tom and Lance in the intro cutscenes in each nights. Besides, Tom Gately isn't even a good name for a co-worker, so I'll change it into Robert "Rob" Patterson, my original idea of the phone guy in the game before I scrapped the calls.

  • Changing the 6AM mock jokes into a more generic robotic-words. (e.g. MechA is now MAchinE, and AutoMAton is now ANdroid.)

Will there a be another demo or beta after this 1.6 version?

Possibly, but I don't really know yet, actually. I really don't want players to know about S.A. Night, so I might just do a final 1.7 demo update that shows the vast improvements in the game for the ones I mentioned above, but I'll be removing the custom night menu in the game, so keep that in mind.

When will be the release date of this game?

Eh, I don't know about it yet, probably next year, but I'm still not sure when I'm gonna finish the whole game. It takes hours to draw these arts, same thing with coding, so yeah, its kinda complicated.

So yeah, thats basically it guys! So what do y'all guys think? Should I stick with my ideas or no? If you want, tell me in the comments some ideas or what you think about the plans about the game. Honestly, this game is gotta be a great game, and I will make sure that this game will fun, thrilling, and enjoyable. Hopefully when the full game comes out, a lot of YouTubers will play it, especially TheGameSalmon, TheNextGenius, and more. So yeah, this is all for now.
