nKaruga version 0.2.0 beta is out !

Hey there !

nKaruga version 0.2.0 beta is out (as the title subtly lets you know) !

The game now features the entire second level, although it doesn’t have a boss battle yet. The reason for this is that I’m still looking for someone to help me with the various sprites of the game. Thus, if you are an artist and would like to help with the game, I need you, so tell me !

This version is also a major milestone as it is now official that 100% of the final game’s mechanics have been implemented ! This means that the entirety of what is left to the game will purely be a matter of AI programming, level design and graphics. Isn’t that great ? But beware, it doesn’t mean that it’s going to be any faster.

If you want to give the game a try, beware : level 2 is when the game gets pretty challenging. You’ve been warned ! But don’t worry, you have infinite continues. Of course.

Enjoy, and see you on future news updates !

Sometimes the suction cup get sticky. Small animation I made in Blender after doing my tutorial on picking up/dropping objects in animations. Crate model by jQueary (https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/game-ready-sci-fi-crate-d98deca6…).

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.

In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)

Back in my art school days I used to ride the 710 COPSA line from Parque Del Plata to Montevideo almost everyday. This is the Marcopolo Viaggio G4 Mercedes Benz model from the late 80s, one of the older bus models that was running on the line.
