Okay, so this is partially a mixture of canon source material and pure speculation (for right now) based on circumstantial evidence. Please take this with a grain of salt. Also, SPOILERS, just in case the previous warning wasn't enough.

According to Hyper Droid's YouTube video titled "I Solved FNAF's Biggest Mystery (Survival Logbook)", Crying Child's ACTUAL name is not Evan.

This information comes after solving ALL the puzzles in the Five Nights at Freddy's Survival Logbook by Scott Cawthon.

By reflecting the text in the mirror puzzle, the letters E-V-A-D—the last letter is a D rather than an N—should instead spell the name Dave.
