THE WISPS HAVE A LANGUAGE!
This took forever since originally I was going to try to make it into an actual font, and just import that into the game, but after MONTHS of on and off attempts at this I gave up and am now just drawing the words into the text box manually. It'll take much longer than my original plan but it'll be a lot easier.
You won't be able to talk to every single wisp (in reality it'll only be two) but some will talk for lore purposes. You'll be able to find what is essentially a "cheat sheet" to translate their speech. There wont be any spaces in between the words, but words won't be cut off by the end of the line, so the end of a line will definitely be the end of the word.
Example:
wouldnt happen:

would happen:

frommyyard.
Next up
I've almost completely finished all of the sprites that I needed to custom make! Honestly it was the category I was expecting to take the longest of all the resource parts. It definitely took the most focus, but here we are!

AND AFTER A VERY INTERESTING MONTH THE OTHER WISP LORE SPOT IS DONE! Sorry about the long wait, I moved jobs, got covid, some big bills, but this was the worst of it! Progress is back!
The entries are done! I've started doing the paper designs for the rest of them and that's going pretty fast too! I'll definitely be dropping off for a bit though. Something big is coming up that I want to focus on, so I'll be back after that

A lot of the ending pictures have gotten lined out with some done, as well as major creature sprites, like the rooms it's currently not enough to show a huge jump on the progress sheet but there should be some soon!
We're almost there, there's barely anything left to go. I'm getting excited for it. I do have some medical things to deal with next week though, so progress (and so the next update) may be delayed
I HAVE ONE OF THE LORE SPOTS BUILT WITH THEIR LANGUAGE! I swear it won't look like that in game, this is just showing the work. At first I hated that the letters didn't look as good if I kept them level, but the uneven-ness gives it a cute look i think
ALL THE MAPS (including the special secret areas) are DONE! And I've written the entries for more of the wisps, so that's the bar I'm gonna be working on filling next!
