Low effort shovelware game templates that cost premium currency and use AI assets, this will be amazing to the video game industry and will definitely not cause a flood of AI shovelware on app stores! 😀

I develop games sometimes and GDevelop has worked out so well for me because I can quickly iterate on ideas without majorly changing anything. Now they've got this whole currency system where you can buy and asset swap game templates, and it makes me angry because they're directly helping people release mass-produced low effort shovelware onto app stores.

Now I've gotta bring up their other scummy money making tactics like making the mobile app extremely limited for no reason unless you have a subscription. Unless you have a desktop or laptop (which some people don't) you are limited to 30 code blocks, 1 scene, and a few objects. Once again encouraging low effort games.

The engine also has a multiplayer feature with a clunky lobbies system and a horrible looking lobby selection screen, WHICH YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR A SUBSCRIPTION TO CUSTOMIZE! 😭

Couple all of this with their deceptive marketing strategy of always calling it a "free" game engine when everything costs money for no reason and you get this absolute dumpster fire of a program.
