I didn't expect this to be the reason why I make another post here but here we are.

What you need to do

Due a Unity security vulnerability if you have previously downloaded Floppy Sports, Cube Dodge, Colour Tanks or UFO Death Race on Windows or Mac go to the Overview tab of games page and read notice in the description.

• If you are using the latest version, you should uninstall it and redownload it, so your copy has the security patch applied.

• Certain older versions are affected and should be uninstalled.

Also, in general make sure to follow security best practices and to update your OS/software to the latest version.

Why are these games/versions affected?

The vulnerability effects all games/apps built in Unity 2017.1 or later so any of my games/versions that use it are affected.

Other games/versions are unaffected as they are either:

• not made in Unity

• use older versions of Unity which is not affected

Therefore, I have applied patcher created by Unity for the latest versions and done quick tests to make sure the game still runs as intended.

I have not applied the patch to older versions which are affected. If you still want to use those versions, you can try and apply the patch yourself which can be found here but I cannot guarantee the game will still work.

The details

For Windows, Mac, Linux, and Android games/apps made in Unity 2017.1 or later there was a security vulnerability was found. Unity versions 2019.1 and newer have received an update to fix the patch.

For already built games the vulnerability is a low risk for Linux but for Windows, Mac and Android Unity has released a patcher for vulnerability.

According to Unity:

• "There is no evidence of any exploitation of the vulnerability, nor has there been any impact on end-users."

• "This vulnerability may allow malicious actors with local access to execute arbitrary code within your application’s context, potentially leading to data exposure or privilege escalation."

Are you working on anything new?

For anyone wondering I haven't had the time/energy to work on games so I have not been doing so for some time. Still I may get back into it later in the future... who knows.

I have been playing Sonic Racing CrossWorlds recently and some of the new things that game adds are somewhat similar to the ideas I had for my own kart racing game, so I if I ever make something new don't expect a kart racing game.
