October 11th, 2021 \\ First Progress Report!

Hey there! Welcome to the first progress report for UNDERFELL - Dance of Darkness!

Now, you might be thinking. Hasn't it only been like, a week since this project began? Well, yeah. It, uh. It has. But a lot can happen in a week! For example...

The three new character designs that I put below the page's header! I have put together a Papyrus and Undyne design, and with some help from @SpringInYourStep and @S00TF00T, I put together a Sans design!

Exciting, right? Well, that's not all. There's an official Papyrus sprite now, and chances are, it won't be going anywhere. So that means that, with only one weeks worth of work on the project, we already have official and permanent sprite/design.

Now, for the main event!

The game itself!

I've got a pretty much finished overworld engine, an engine of which includes amazing features such as:
- Walking
- Not walking
- Interacting with things
- Changing rooms
Y'know, now that I've typed it out loud, I realize that those features are quite standard and not all that amazing. But oh well!

Another thing I'm doing is writing the script for the game. Here's a rundown of the character's personalities:

Well, that's that. More info'll be released soon, probably.

Now, with all of that being said and done...
Thanks for tunin' in to this week's progress report! I can't promise they'll be weekly, most likely monthly, but I hope you'll stick around regardless!

Have a great day!

not the greatest house, but it's a house! :D

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
