Haunted Haiden - A Giant Game of Hide and Seek

"We interrupt this program to bring you a live broadcast from downtown Montreal! Just this morning Tomochii Incorporated confirmed to have been testing an experimental device on one of their animatronic mascots from Lake’s Funland! Apparently the device malfunctioned-”

Haiden: Uh, Ashley? You're seeing this right?

Ashley: I'm seeing it, still working on believing though. This is weird, even for me...

Haiden: Based on my genre savviness and lore knowledge, we're in danger.

Ashley: Oh? Really? What gave you the first clue? *sarcasm*

Ashley and Haiden’s outing to the arcade and mall is cut short when an experiment of Tomochii’s goes horribly wrong. Now they are the only things standing between the newly awakened wraith and Montreal’s utter destruction. No, I'm not being dramatic, or exaggerating, you all are aware of what happens when 12 year olds have tantrums?

Middle, Rejected:

Finding his chosen family is easy for the wraith, the hard part is corralling them in order to bring them both to a safe place where he can protect them from harm. Unfortunately for Harlan, Haiden and Ashley aren’t really receptive to the familial love and safety he claims to offer.

Bottom, Sleep:

Having finally corralled the exhausted duo, who's escape attempts got increasingly wacky and creative, the wraith is finally calmed and can think clearly again. Deciding that the populated area they’re in isn’t safe at all, Harlan searches for and eventually finds a safe place for them all to rest. The abandoned warehouse he found on the outskirts can easily fit his now larger frame, with a bit of tidying up and the installation of a nest of soft bedding (duvets, pillows and blankets) it can finally look liveable.

When the nest is completed, Harlan can finally watch over his chosen family as they sleep in peace. His next task is to find food once they wake up but his main mission is to keep his "family" safe.

Welp, there goes Haiden and Ashley’s outing, they’d been looking forward to that for a long time and Haiden thought he‘d timed it right. Guess not, now they're in this mess.

Now, I know what you’re all thinking but my brain was like “Yup, we’re doing this now.” And I had to accept that this was where my brain was going with this idea. It’s kind of sweet in some places if you ignore how many people were probably taken off the census in the Wraith’s initial rampage…

Lucas’ did not think that this would happen but he supposed that if the supernatural existed, something like this was also likely. Ashley's just not having a good time right now.

Where are the other animatronics? *shrugs*

Also, in this idea, Ashley knows by the time The Incident happens that Harlan possesses Lake, its why she's so nonchalant about Haiden's analysis.
