as you probably know from cae’s ref image they were infact one of the two racer npcs from turbotime (who do infact look. Exactly like turbo . Just recolored I guess) but specifically they were Coded to always be in “third place” . never really got any recognition that our main guy did because who would really care about someone in third place other than a few “you tried your best” comments

cae did the Exact same thing that turbo did . But they had their own reasoning! They had no where to go! so they coded themselves into an empty fighter slot and called it a day

SEEEE THIS IS WHATIM TALKING ABOUT . they are technically the “same guy” BUT ITS ON PURPOSE ! ITS TO POINT OUT THE FACT THAT CAE, DESPITE DESPISING TURBO’S ACTIONS, HAD TO DO THE EXACT SAME THING HE DID, BUT TO A LOWER EXTREME, TO KEEP THEMSELVES SAFE !!!!! BECAUSE THEY DIDN’T WANT TO BECOME A WALKING REMINDER OF WHAT HAPPENED ON THAT DAY!!!

and also they always felt like they were overshadowed by him and going into that fighting game gave themselves an actual Personality other than “oh one of the racers from turbotime” … yada yada you get the poinnnnt
