honestly. i’ve always seen them having some kind of one-sided strained relationship in canon smg4…

one was too obsessed with fame and power to care about friendship until it was too late, and the other forcefully pulled himself away even though he was horrifically concerned about the other… smiles warmly

this would also probably be the same case for when crossword was still working in puzzlevision . puzzles never really considered them Friends, moreso “business partners”….

and considering what’s happening in the current smg4 arc i don’t see them going ANYWHEREEE unless puzzles is redeemed in some way

idk if i described the au at any point BUT! it’s basically the same but puzzles gets redeemed at the end of puzzlepark. this MAY change depending on if the new lore episode redeems puzzles at the end or not. But yk! Yeah

BUT when puzzles gets redeemed, i think their relationship would start out with snarky back talk . Both are clearly peeved about being near eachother but there’s the smallest hint of like ….. relief when they’re near eachother . Smiles

as time slowly passes you’d probably see them getting more and more soft with eachother.. still nip at eachother every once in a while. But you know! they care about eachother an awful lot
