So, in undertale, Determination is always mentioned as a great thing(which it is), showing that, with it, you just CAN'T die.
You can't give, you can't just say "woah, this is too hard, I'm gonna stop right here".
The Determination won't let you give up till everything and everyone that you love is really safe; till you're sure that there ain't any harm for them.
And now, look at what the community made Determination look like.
Let's look at DUSTTALE
Dusttale is a very good undertale fangame, ngl. I'm sure that the most of the undertale community knows what Dusttale is.
But would look at what Dusttale uses as the definition of Determination.
It's used like something which shows that Determination is what makes things worth to kill.
It drives sans crazy, making he kill his only brother to stop the human. I know, it's to stop the human from killing everyone he(sans) loves, but, even in the original undertale's genocide run, it's not something that drives Frisk crazy for LV, not like sans is in Dusttale.
It's just a fangame, with its own concepts and everything, I know, but(sorry for saying but too much) it completely changes what Determination is showed as in undertale, and, since it's a fangame, I think it should be the same thing that it originally is.
And about ALL the other undertale fangames
Even if there's not much of fangames where monsters injects Determination in their own selves(as far as I know), I saw some where they do, specially sans.
In those kind of fangames, sans(I'll use him as reference) always starts melting, but not getting weaker, he melts while he gets stronger.
I know that undertale shows what happens when some monster injects Determination in theirselves, they melt, like amalgams and undyne, but they get weaker and can't really stand on. The amalgams seem like an exception, because undyne, the strongest one, melts getting weaker and eventually dying.
Anyways, I just wanted to point out that Determination IS a good thing, and that we can feel it. Wanna bet?
Start hearing Hopes and Dreams, start playing undertale again, listen to the music, close your eyes, and wait.
You'll be filled with... DETERMINATION
