So after season 4 episode 7 Cyon ends up getting his hands on nightmare mode, that allows him to have full control of his abilitys and attacks, but there was no star portal thingy that could had gave him the nightmare mode, so how does Cyon unlock nightmare mode, well due to Cyon being in a different universe and him trying to enter his enraged form he enters a special type of nightmare mode named shadow mode, that allows him to access nightmare mode without having to be near a portal star thingy, whatever you call it
