Emily Goodman is the daughter of politician, Dennis Goodman. Her father founded the Super League of Heroes, several charities, and is running for mayor. But he is also the villain, Purpetrator and leads the Evil Legion of Doom. Playing both sides. His good side is anything but who he truely is.

Even though he won the custody case over her, Dennis neglects Emily to the point she becomes an attention-seeker with her (father's) wealth so at least someone would care of her existence, good or bad. Dennis (Purpetrator) would notice her wants for him to pay attention to her, so he presented her with a chance to become Purple Apprentice and join him in his villainous deeds. She would accept.

Even with her fighting by him, Purpetrator treats her even worse than his neglect. He would push Apprentice to do horrible things to mold her into the evil he is. One occasion, she refused to kill an innocent bystander who had information. Purpetrator would activate Emily's suit's self-electrocute mode to torture her for her failure, just blankly looking down over her as she cries for him to stop. Even then, she still fights with him so he would notice his own daughter, and try to prove she isn't a disappointment.
