this video has no sound, this is a recording from last night just to show her breathing movements

this morning apparently kiwi still tried to say hi despite her lack of energy

she nuzzled her head in my hand like she usually does a few minutes ago, and she also tried grooming herself but it appeared slower than usual. throughout the night she's been moving positions from the edge of my bed and closer to me (i laid blankets in the spaces where I'm not laying for her) and she moved closer and is just trying to sleep now

she did get up at about 8:23am this morning to loaf near her usual spot at the back sliding glass door for a few minutes but then she came back to my bed

the rapid breathing and sounds do not change when she's resting, it's still the same when she's active / awake

i dunno if its of importance, but there's always been a bit of a gruff sound when she purrs too. compared to her sister coco who's purr sounds like a smooth motor running, kiwi is different. it sounds a bit gruff and i think she also very quickly pauses like how one would when trying to catch their breath so her purr is like

rrrr [stop] rrrrrr [stop] rrrrr

so I don't know if the sound of her voice like that is something that's always been there, and is just being brought out because she's been hyperventilating or what

but these sounds do not usually occur in her normal breathing. beforehand she was quiet when she breathed

now the sound can be pretty loud. i can hear it from across my living room when she's in there with me.
