On May 15th, 2022, the voice actor for medic made a Tweet responding to the outcries from the TF2 Community, saying that he would forward our concerns to people at Valve. While he didn't work at Valve, he contacted those who he knew.

Please do not harass Valve, or anyone mentioned in this post. I am here to simply share this news with you.

"TF2 Community! I hear you! Please understand that although I worked as an actor on the game... I do not work for Valve. That being said, I will do what I can help you. I will contact those I know at Valve this week and ask about this situation."

This is great news, as someone who (possible) direct contact at Valve, can contact them about the current situation we are in.

About 24 hours ago, as of writing this, he created a new thread on Twitter.

"TF2 community! As promised, last week I reached out to two Valve contacts. I wrote your love for TF2 and your frustration with the bot situation."

image.png

"I wrote of the letters and e-mail [that] I've received from fans of the game over the years that have not only been entertained by this game but also helped in many different ways."

image.png

"They in turn have forwarded my letter and the response from all of you to my tweet, to the employees at Valve who can respond to this problem."

image.png

"Please continue in your peaceful passionate manner. I will continue to support you. I’ll let you know if I hear anything. It’s my hope that they have heard you and are working to correct the problem."

This could mean that Valve might actually respond to our cries of help. While Robin A. Downes can get into contact with Valve directly, it doesn't mean that we will get a response from them.

Now, valve may fix the issue, they may not. I have heard from many places that people have created the bots just to drive a response out of valve, to fix their game. How true this is, I cannot confirm. But if valve does end of doing something, even if it is just for a little bit, I will defiantly start playing casual again.

The question is, how many players are actually bots these days, because there are thousands of bots out there...

Who knows...

I just hope the game gets fixed soon.

And I hope you will enjoy the game, even if the game as we know it, will be changed forever.

It amazes me that this Deadlock isn't even released yet, yet it is in the top 10 most played games of all time on steam.
