Game
Night Shift at Spike's

One year since the first announcement.

Hey everyone! It's been a while.

Thank you for the 2k followers, I really did not expect the game to get this much attention.

Today marks one year since the very first Spike's announcement, linked below if you're curious. So I thought it'd be the perfect time to make an update.

I apologize for the lack of updates. While the last months were slower and silent, I finally got something I'm happy about, so development should be faster now.

In fact, a playable build is being released this weekend to the development consultants! I'll let you know how that goes in the next devlog, which will be a proper one.

Since the last devlog, many things have been changed and improved upon.

The biggest difference you may have noticed is vent being replaced with a door.

This was only a visual change as a big vent into a room right next to you doesn't make sense, so don't worry, it's not a FNaF 1 door.

The game page has been updated to reflect these changes. Lily will be re-added soon as well as a new room, as she still lacks proper texturing and the room is missing some props. But just by looking at Spike and Tummy, you can probably see the improvement.

I know there's not much, not only did I make the switch from Fusion to GameMaker Studio 2, I wasn't happy with how things were and ended up hitting a brick wall. Not only did some of that take a while to figure out, it slowed down development too.

While making the switch wasn't the fastest process, I'd say it was definitely worth it and made me more motivated.

We made a lot of improvements on the Freezing Plains visual. Things like pine trees, tiny bushes, some rocks, and others game props!

Why walk when you can jump?

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
