i do like the fact that radiance pays attention to detail when it comes to their versions of the FNaTI characters, but they have made their topology and textures WAY TOO COMPLEX that you can't even remember how they exactly look like, if you are an artist and you want to draw these toons, it will be a fucking pain in the ass.
this is what in my opinion killed the charm of the FNaTI characters.
sure, simplicity can be ""boring"" sometimes, but i think i can speak for alot of the fans when i say that the original models are memorable and easy to remember or make artwork of them because of their simplicity, they fulfill their porpuse enough to be good, even if that's bad nowdays, i am pretty sure we all praised it back then, because again, that was enough.
This is one of the reasons why i prefer the costumes story, toons have these weird, very specific melting spots and parts, making their designs ridiculously complex :/
in the other hand, costumes don't really have to go through melting, it's not ink, even though there's plastic, the staff building is not exposed to the sun so therefore why would there be melting? Yeah, AnArt1996 did make the costumes melted in 5.0, but you can tell that's just how he thought fabric and plastic worked. He even scrapped that look in 5.0 v3.
