In the Early 2010’s, an entity composed solely of VOID energy was born in the gap between dimensions known as the Void (stylized as VOID or V O I D), an unseen location said to contain nothing but darkness. This entity would find humanity and grow fascinated with them, deciding to take their souls for its own selfish needs. X would then latch onto the first video game mascot it saw as an attempt to lure humans, in this instance being Mario during an unconfirmed year
