Our submission to Adventure Jam is available

Yesterday evening - or actually, this morning very early at 3:00am French time - we successfully uploaded a build of Kitrinos before the end of Adventure Jam 2018! We’re very happy that we have been able to participate and submit something, it was really tough this year.
(Please note that the game page was still private until a few minutes ago, we forgot to set the visibility settings to Early Access… But the game build was uploaded in time before the end of the jam!)

We did it! Success \o/

The current version of the game is far from finished, and we recommend not to play it if you really want the best experience!! Indeed it is full of bugs and it is possible that you cannot finish it. We really did as fast as possible in the final days to make something playable, but well, you know… :D However we think that there is a nice potential in our game, so we will continue the development in order to try to polish Kitrinos during the next few weeks.

We have really lacked of time to create what we wanted to, but that’s the spirit of a game jam of course! We think that despite our disapointment regarding the quality of our game in its current version, it was still a great moment and we have no regrets regarding the past two weeks and our participation. We really hope that all participants had a lot of fun and motivation, like us! We always see these game jams as a good opportunity to meet other people, experiment, share and show our skills. They are also a good ‘springboard’ for the future : many of the games and demos developed during jams are full of good ideas and we hope that they will be used furthermore by their developers!

We apologize for not posting anything in the devlog during these past 2 weeks. Usually during the previous game jams we liked to share our progress and post WIP pictures and explanations. However this year was a little special with personal issues at the same time, and as a result we really lacked of time and we decided to focus on the project only. Anyway please take some time to discover our games, particularly if you know the Black Cube series and apreciate it (you can also try Myha for free).

Have fun!

Simon and Yaz

'ASA: A Space Adventure' was the very first game I created. This 2d adventure was made of 3d renders used as background images. The more time passes, the more I want a full 3d remake... Here a quick test in Unity for the motivation

This was the first trailer of our upcoming platformer game Bionic Slammer, that was first revealed on Steam. After a few months of hard work and silence, we hope to give more news very soon, and a playable demo here on GJ https://store.steampowered.com/app/2246570/Bionic_Slammer/

This is my Donkey Kong for #FanartFriday I did it about 20 years ago, when I was a fan of Donkey Kong Country on Super Nintendo. It's been my favorite platformer with Yoshi's Island for a long while So nostalgic of that time!

There's a funny statue in Myha's temple

Tommy and Seb, the 2 brothers from my world 'My Magical Village', seem to have played and enjoyed famous Nintendo games...

It's small and simple but I really like this sheet that shows the mood/atmosphere in our upcoming game Bionic Slammer

This year we are supporting Yaz Jam for its 5th edition

There is a physical 1st prize to win and Steam keys offered to participants! Theme will be revealed later. Starts in 15 days, if anyone interested to join, it's right here: https://itch.io/jam/yazjam5

#GJAsks What is my favorite game series? I'd choose Final Fantasy without a doubt, all games - but the PS1 games more specifically.

Kitrinos is a free adventure game with puzzles that has a very unique scifi retro style. I made it during a Jam with my good friend @Yazorius . Will you be brave enough and try to finish it and put your brain up to the challenge, or will you flee?
