So, the situation with Maple/ITDEER. Here's a summary of what I know so far trying to be as objective as possible with sources.

(CW: Discussion of mature topics including fictional incest and suggestive art -- no images.)

TL;DR: Couldn't find enough evidence to reasonably form an opinion on this whole situation, so I'm waiting until more information comes out.

NOTE: Maple uses it/its pronouns and I'm going to respect that. Additionally, if any new info regarding Maple and the allegations made against it surfaces, I will either update this post or make a new one.

UPDATE MAY 23rd 2026: Macar0ni just made a post saying a "better more informed doc will be dropped soon with as much information as we have" [7]. Please keep that in mind. Again, I'm holding off on forming an opinion until both that doc and Maple's response are made.

UPDATE MAY 28/29th 2026: A response document from various members of Smallbrain (the group that Mac and Syren were previously part of) has been released, containing seven sections dedicated to addressing various accusations made against the group. I highly recommend you read it to help you form your own opinion of this situation, as I did for mine. So earlier today (around 10 hours ago as of writing), two posts were made in the TOO MANY NIGHTS community on Game Jolt, one from Macar0ni [1], and one from ImSyren [2]. In Macar0ni's post, they claim Maple is "fostering a community of minors home to lots of very suggestive art". Obviously, that's an extremely worrying accusation, so I tried to look into it.

From what I read, the main accusations are:

Maple has an incest kink [1]
Maple -- whether through intention or negligence, has posted suggestive art in places where it's easily accessible to minors [1, 3]
Maple involved minors in discussions about fetishes [1, 2]

The most concerning of the accusations are the second and third ones, since they're about the safety of minors in the community. Maple is an adult, and what it does in adult spaces is otherwise unrelated. Though it is worth mentioning that Maple itself has clarified that it does not support "actual, non-fictional incest" [1].

[1, 3] Exposing minors to suggestive art

The only evidence that I've been able to find so far for this accusation was on Maple's ArtFight profile (under its non-ITDEER username); specifically, the character Mildew, whose ref has depictions of nipple piercings and pubic hair, with no visible nipples or genitalia [3].

While this was concerning when I first saw it, I looked at ArtFight's guide for filtering and found that the art in question actually follows along with the filtering guides perfectly fine [4]. I am aware that not everyone will agree with the way ArtFight handles this, and its applicability to Mildew's ref is debatable, but from what I can see, the art does not fall under the definition of needing a nudity filter.

I do agree that the art is at least slightly suggestive, but still, this is an account under Maple's non-ITDEER username, separate from its accounts that have followings of largely minors. In the past, Maple itself has said that it doesn't want to expose minors to suggestive art that it draws, having switched to posting that art under a new Tumblr account after gaining a following consisting mostly of minors as ITDEER [5].

[1, 2, 3] Involving minors in discussions about fetishes

This is the most concerning accusation in my opinion, but I have yet to find any evidence of this claim, other than a direct accusation from MacarOni [1] and a mention of "weird stuff" from ImSyren [2]. This shouldn't be dismissed, in my opinion, and Maple absolutely needs to be held accountable if this is true. But there just isn't enough evidence to say this is true; even ImSyren herself claims she's "still in the dark about a lot of things" [2]. Still, though, it should be kept in mind until a follow-up to the accusations is posted.

Conclusion from my findings

With all that in mind, I can't find any conclusive evidence of Maple, intentionally or otherwise, "fostering a community of minors home to lots of very suggestive art", at least from the evidence I could find from looking at public accounts and screenshots at this time. If you think you have some evidence that I should add or address, please tell me.

I'm going to be waiting for Macar0ni's follow-up post and Maple's response [6] before forming a concrete opinion. I've seen multiple instances online where someone has been accused of things that were either blatantly untrue or blown way out of proportion, and I believe everyone deserves a chance to speak.
