for the love of the game, i will hold a contest for owwy2 using its character customization feature. anyone can participate and anyone can win the game (assuming this contest doesn't flop and end up cancelled.) it's all fun and games.

it's also my first time hosting a contest so i might do some screw ups oops

How do you participate and what do you submit?

-download the application available in the gamejolt page right now. that's how you will easily test and see what you're making

-you draw 8 small sprites of the same size to form a top down view character as seen in the feature preview footage! check https://gamejolt.com/p/next-big-feature-face-character-customization-qrjw7d6d if you didn't see it

-It would be highly preferable if you draw with the size that you chose. for example if you choose the width to be 50 and height be 70, you can draw on a 50x70 canvas

-you can make "clothes" that will be overlapped on top of the default character, a bunch of templates will come with the build to help you with that

-upload all 8 sprites that you made to this google form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfgM0VA8loLdW8_Xt_VVZWlXSY9tTIXkpGZV9-Msahc_JGuqg/viewform?usp=header and type the settings that you chose for your character

-you have until December 25th to submit

-there will be 3 winners. 1 or 2 if this flops and not enough people participate lol

Rules

-it has to be something that YOU made. using pre existing images from the internet or someone elses art or ai generated images won't be qualified

-only one unique submission per person. if you made a mistake and resubmit then that one i will consider submitted

-don't submit porn or real gore i don't wanna see that

-following the art style is NOT a must. it only gives extra points if you do it well. it ain't hard to replicate anyways

-choosing footstep sound is NOT important it's just there

-the character does NOT have to be yours. however you MIGHT get less creativity points idk it depends

-do NOT strangle each other

Criteria

-creativity: how unique is your character? did you do something creative with the feature? did you make that up?

-quality: does it look good? does it fit? does it look good?

What does the winner get?

-their skin gets featured as a preset skin you can choose with their name credited

-their name is engraved somewhere in the game and in the credits
